  • Useless, so far

First, it got stuck registering my water heater. Then, I was able to register but couldn’t connect to my Wi-Fi network. Then, I finally got to the screen when I could enter my network password, I did that, and it got stuck. I see (on a different app) that my heater is in fact connected to my wireless network, but this app says it isn’t connected. No functionality. I will update if I manage to do what it is intended to do.
  • So what’s the point

Setting up the WiFi was fairly simple (although it first told me the my network connection was unsuccessful but connected to it anyway). So I would give that part 4 stars. However, the point IMO of an app is to allow you the ability to not only monitor the device but to interact with it. Unless I am missing something it doesn’t tell me current water temp or time to reach temp. That earns 1 star. Thus the average rating of 2 stars.
  • Garbage APP

This might be the worst app I’ve ever seen. It doesn’t connect to Wi-Fi. It won’t let me select anything. I can’t even register my water heater. I can’t enter my phone number. I can’t select my Wi-Fi signal. Pass on this one. Don’t waste your time.
  • Trash

This app is absolutely terrible. Cannot get it to connect to the heater after repeated attempts. Unrecognized serial number message. Called tech support and they seem lost as to what to do. They simply said as a last resort to try it later. What?!?!?!?!
  • Frustrated by this app!

Bought a Wi-Fi enabled hot water heater and it is connected to my home network. But this app AND the AO Smith app are crap. I have tried several times to register and the field for my phone number keeps reverting to my email address AND my password is not accepted (yes, they have all had at least 8 characters, 1 capital letter & 1 number). I am frustrated.

Update-I successfully registered but serial number is “invalid”. Called support. Three support people later and got no help-the last guy asked for my phone number (which I gave) “in case we got disconnected” which did happen. No call back.
