New Update Removed Key Feature

I have used this app for 2 years and the new update removed the ability to send messages to specific communities together. When I try to add multiple communities under the “filter” it removes all recipients.

I need the feature that allows me to select which specific communities I want to send a message to, not just “filter” the communities

Hi there, Thank you so much for your review! We recently upgraded our message compose features. If you're using the AND filter, you're narrowing it down to people who are part of all those communities, which is why the number keeps decreasing. To include everyone from each community in your recipient list, use the OR filter instead. Hope this helps! Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions.

What happened?!

This used to be one of my favorite ways to contact people and I have been a member for a couple years now! With this new update I now have multiple phones that I can’t use Community on because it says it requires 16 or higher… whatever that means! All I know is that now I can’t have my whole team responding to messages because several their phones will no longer work with this app! Can you please fix this?

UPDATE: I have updated to the latest operating system as suggested but unfortunately it still doesn’t work. I guess you can only use it on the newest iPhone which would be good for ppl to know before they purchase.

Thanks for reaching out! This looks like you need to update your iOS operating system on your iPhone. On your device, please go to Settings > General > Software Update and make sure you are on the most recent Apple iOS operating system. Once your phone updates, please go back to the app store and update the Community app and everything should work as expected. Needs better login

Terrible because it won’t even let me login so I can’t see or do anything even when I re-download it it does the same exact thing.

Question

Quick question , why do you have a log in but not a sign up but I wanna see out this app works but I can’t if I can’t sign up.

[UPDATE…it’s worse]. Warning: To cancel you have to email them. But not responsive.

UPDATE: Dec 20th 2022. How do you select “negative” stars? They just charged my card again despite me trying to cancel for over a month! Be very careful with this company. It is impossible to cancel! They still did not cancel my account despite below how they pretend with their response below about how all I have to do is to email them (I did, several times). I guess for PR reasons they pretend to be responsive to these negative reviews. They aren’t.

OLD REVIEW IN NOV 2022. In 2022 this company is still making you email them to cancel your monthly payment…but then it takes them days/weeks to get back to you. Sorry but to not allow a user to cancel easily is a major transparency issue.

Wow just noticed it hides the phone numbers collected

Updated! Literally posted a review giving this 2 stars because of bugs but after I just tried to export my contacts I’m giving it one star. It doesnt give you a way to mass expert contact, so I figured I would do it like a cave man and then I find out it doesn’t show me the numbers I’ve collected over time. I was gonna cancel but now I’m canceling immediately and posting a bad review on every possible Channel I can find. Had I known this I would have never used this app. The most important thing for small businesses are the relationships we have and they are keeping them hostage. Now I will have to mass text everyone to text my number but I have no idea how many will actually do it.

Update - I’ve spoke to customer service and they told me I would need to upgrade my current plan to get the rights to my collected data. So the reply to this review has me in the same spot. The basic feature of any app should be any data collected belongs to you and not them.

Terrible update

They recently changed their app rules where i’m limited to sending a message to 1000 recipients per month. I have 5,000+ people signed up so this app has become completely inconvenient and not worth the money. I’ve also contacted their help email and it was rejected multiple times, so I assume their help email isn’t working either. I’ve tried dming their instagram and no response. I used to love this app, however this new rule has completely ruined this platform and I don’t recommend if you’re a content creator or business owner looking to send mass text out to a large number of people at a time.

Raised my rates and still haven’t changed the app?

They raised my monthly rate from $49.99 to $99.99 without any warning and still have basic usages. GET DARK MODE. Have more usability with a $100/mo service. Like dooood …. It’s really not that hard.

App is horrible- pick another sms provider

Crashes constantly, can’t copy paste responses or links from one person to the other. I wish we’d gone with another sms provider that has better feature set.
