    I have had no issues with the app or the service. I do not use a CC reader, so I don’t know if that is where people are having the issue. Sending invoices via app and manual inputs have worked great for me.

  • Excellent app!!

    I have had no problems with this app on my phone. I’m a small business I manually process transactions for clients. I either use my desktop or the app on my phone. Absolutely no problems whatsoever. Very happy with this company would highly recommend. Customer service has always been very helpful and friendly.

  • App would randomly say the internet disconnected, forced to restart

    It’s been awhile since there’s been an update to the iOS app apart from Helcims own update logs on their website. It would be completely at random on where our card terminal on standalone would look like it’s working just fine until the very last part, processing the transaction. In rare occasions, the iPad would say the transaction failed with no small reason text below it, with another pop up saying the internet was disconnected. The only fix every time is to restart the app forcefully, login by pin again, and try the transaction again once the card terminal reconnects. This issue only occurs completely at random, sometimes 3 times a day or not at all for a week. Our internet is just fine as our chrome cast tv would still be playing a show with no hiccups. Helcim is starting preorders for their new smart terminal so hopefully the iPad issues will be no more as it would be standalone. Helcim has been great in regards for everything else, the low fees compared to many other processors are amazing, but for some, this issue that may simply only be an iOS app issue may be a burden for some. Consider using an android device or a windows device as the helcim website says those platforms have gotten updates much sooner than the iOS app has. Thank you helcim!
  • Dishonest, Unresponsive, Tech Issues

    I read an article talking about a few different Payment Processors as I had previously used Square/Stripe which I felt the fees were high on. There were a few other options but this was supposedly the best as it had low processing fees (1% or lower) as well as professional tools for invoicing. They lied about their take home % on the front page and deep in the info website you can see it’s actually 2.9% similar to Square/Stripe. They take forever to get a hold of (except their sales team, SHOCKER!) and once you FINALLY get a hold of someone, you’ll be hung up on and pushed off on other employees. Lastly, they have major issues w/ crashes on the dashboard, as well as their call center. I DIDN’T TRUST THE REVIEWS, you should.

Due to the interchange plus model we follow, there can be variation in the processing fees charged based on the card type, brand, and method of processing (in person versus online/keyed.) We display the average rates based on the typical distribution of card brands and types that consumers use across the various industries in order to give the most transparent pricing model possible to merchants.   • Good when it works

    The Helcim reader connects sometimes and sometimes it doesn’t. We bought it to replace our Square. Luckily we kept the Square. We use the Square every time the Helcim doesn’t work, which is pretty often.
