After travelling recently through Canada I found this app an absolute godsend! It alleviated the anxiety around finding safe places to eat! Thanks Gluten Dude! 🤩
The BEST resource for GF folks
I stumbled across the Gluten Dude in a post about GF dining options as a Blue Hen (IYKYK). I followed his blog and watched as he brought this app to life. Unlike others, Gluten Dude and his team are committed to evaluating and honestly publishing the details of GF abilities at establishments. Their dedication to the GF community is amazing. This app is my go to for safe places to eat and drink. The functionality of the app, including the map option, makes eating out wherever you are easy. And everyone I share the app with loves it. If you haven’t tried it, you are missing out on a world of dining possibilities vetted by a team that knows what GF means and tells it like it is.

Favorite app for finding GF food!
I have celiac, and it can be tough to rely on reviews of gluten free options at different restaurants. Everyone has their own comfort level for things like cross contact, so one person’s “super safe!” or “very knowledgeable” is another person’s “never again”. I really appreciate this app’s clear levels for safety — dedicated gluten free, vetted by the app team, and user suggested. With that, you can see at a glance which restaurants are likely the most safe for you, and you can even filter out the levels you’re not comfortable with.
For all of the Dude Vetted restaurants, the details they got from the restaurant are in the restaurant description so you can decide if their response is acceptable for you, or if you should find somewhere else to eat.
Asking all the questions of staff is one of my least favorite parts of having celiac, and while it’s important to still do your due diligence, I have much more peace of mind eating somewhere new when I know it has already been vetted by someone else who gets it.
This app is my first stop when looking for a safe restaurant, and I highly recommend it!

Great app!
Love that restaurants are vetted. But for the ones that aren’t, it’s clear which ones are user recommended & not vetted. I also really appreciate the reviews in airports as travel days are so hard!
Time saver when vacationing LOVE the App!
I have Celiac and get very sick when I inadvertenly get gluten so I am very cautious when eating out and especially when travelling. We travelled to Italy this past May and had just started using Gluten Dude App two months prior. It was enormously helpful to identify dedicated GF bakeries and restaurants along with restaurants that are not dedicated. I love that you know if the place has been vetted or just suggested by others.... so instead of having to spend hours googling gluten free in each city we visited, I could start with the Gluten Dude App. I know it saved me hours of checking online! We ate out for 9 days in Italy and I verified in person with the manager every place I ate and Gluten Dude was 100% accurate. Heading to NYC this weekend and although we have been to NYC a number of times and know of many GF places to eat, we checked the app in case we had missed any or new ones opened since we last visited. And we did find new options! Thanks Gluten Dude!

I use this app anywhere I travel and I find it so helpful! There are really detailed descriptions of each restaurant and why they are considered GF.

Travelling with Celiac Disease adds a layer of stress to a time that should be fun and exciting. I’m so thankful for your app, over the past few years I’ve been able to locate safe places to eat when travelling. I actually look at your app first to locate where I want to eat and book my hotel based on the restaurant’s location. I appreciate all the effort that continually goes into this app and can’t thank you enough.

Genuinely life changing
This app is genuinely life changing, and that is not an exaggeration. It has made a world of a difference when traveling. I used to be very anxious when I had to travel for work because, as a person with celiac, I always worried about whether I’d be able to eat anywhere. Now, because of this app, I really look forward to it because of the chance to try new restaurants. On my last work trip, I showed the app to 2 gluten free coworkers who bought the app on the spot after glancing at it on my phone and hearing me describe how life changing it’s been. This app is clearly a labor of love for the dude who created it, and it has made me love life, food, and traveling in a whole new way.

The only GF resource I trust 100%
The Gluten Dude is the ONLY celiac resource I trust. This app is incredible, I use it in my own area, and it is a lifesaver when I travel. I start my vacation planning with this app first before I book anything at all. The map function is perfect for exploring a new city. It has introduced me to so many amazing places to eat, and it’s wonderful to be able to just relax and enjoy my meals without stress.

Gluten Dude Always Comes Through
The Gluten Dude app and staff have proven very helpful for us both at home and when traveling. Two of us have celiac and it’s important for us to find safe places to eat. I’ll give a bit of detail to show the level of care in GD’s vetting process - we went to Manhattan in December and the app not only broke down restaurants by location (vs all locations in one listing), but even explained why one location is better than another for gluten free. I consumed gluten for the first 47 years of my life, so some GF foods are harder to accept, but based on the app recommendations, and answers to the questions I submitted, I had probably the best lasagna of my life. I still think about it. It was that good. I can’t wait to go back and have it again! Sensa Gluten, I don’t recall which of their three locations, but it was the location recommended by the app for a sensational meal. Aside from that dinner, the app was extremely useful and helpful for finding things not only the gluten free family members could enjoy, but for everyone to enjoy!
