A Must Have For Travelers!
Fantastic App! I use it regularly! One of the features I like most is being able to find a place to eat when I travel. It can be very difficult at airports for example, to locate a place to eat due to time constraints with layovers. “Gluten Dude” has places identified, scored, and located, down to which terminal they can be found, and many airports have multiple terminals! Without that information a lot of time can be wasted searching needlessly for “safe food” located in a different terminal! As someone that suffers from celiac disease himself, “Gluten Dude” knows our pain and frustration!

Life Saver of an App
I cannot thank Gluten Dude - and the community of users enough. This app has saved me and my family countless times. We travel a lot within the US and internationally- and have always been able to find celiac safe food wherever we are- airports, small towns, big cities thanks to this app. I have tried other apps and they always left me hanging- I found they did not have as wide ranging information or as high of standards for gluten free as Gluten Dude. I want to know the place is safe to eat- not just maybe you will be ok. Yes, I bought the lifetime membership because myself and my boys are life long celiacs needing to find safe food worldwide. I use the app on a weekly basis- many times daily. Fantastic.

Great App!
I have other resources as well but this has been a great app. even in the few months I’ve had it. I decided to get the subscription too as I am using the service and feel that anyone supporting this lifestyle and all the work that goes into the vetting process to keep us safe, deserves to be supported as they provide an honest and reliable service. I also provide feedback so they continue to have current information on my local places. Celiacs and gluten intolerant and more will benefit from this service. Thanks GlutenDude!

As a person diagnosed with celiac in 2004, I’ve seen many changes to food and restaurants to accommodate people that need safe gluten free food. I’ve used another app for years to help me navigate eating out, especially when traveling. However, for the past few years it hasn’t done a great job and getting sick for a week or 2 is a lot to pay for a mistake. I am SO SO SO thankful I found this app. Gluten Dude only posts places that are confirmed to be able to accommodate safely on both sides - from customers AND the restaurants themselves. It has made such a difference!!!! Stop getting sick from outdated information and start using this app - it literally saves me weeks of pain and agony of getting “glutened” - it should be covered by insurance as health care!

So Much Valuable Info Within One App!!
This app is developed by an actual Celiac who cares about his community. Not only did he see a need and creatively fulfill it, but he is actively participates by asking for feedback, being available for questions, offering info on his FB page, and personally vetting restaurants.
I love the vetting notes feature that tells you the restaurant’s practices. Gives me extra peace of mind and saves me from embarrassingly over explaining and grilling the waitstaff (even though in most cases they don’t mind and are happy to help). Other apps allow anyone with a wide variety of gluten intolerance and knowledge post whatever they want and the info may or may not be reliable or work for celiac. With GD, users post a suggestion and it is t posted until it’s been reviewed and/or vetted.
On a recent road trip the map view was a life saver. I was able to pull it up and see what places where coming down the road and how long until the next safe place to eat. Gluten Dude also helped me find a great spot to eat near a hotel where we wanted to stop for the night. I couldn’t have pulled off my first road trip post diagnosis without this app!
Finally- loving the feature that labels/organizes establishments as totally gluten free, recommended, etc.

I really appreciate the developer’s dedication to verifying restaurants to be safer for those of us who REALLY need to avoid gluten. This app is SO MUCH better than FMGF and doesn’t rely on random people who just don’t “get it”. I’ve been able to easily find places to eat while traveling and have even discovered hidden gems nearby. Thank you so much for helping me find options that work for my family and help restore a sense of “normalcy” to our lives. 10/10 would (and do!) recommend this app!

The Best Option for Celiacs
I love this app, it’s the first thing I turn to when traveling to new places. The vetting this team does of each restaurant is incredibly thorough and very valuable to someone with a strict gluten free diet. That said, because the vetting process has to be intensive, there are fewer options available than on other user-submitted apps. If you’re casually gluten free, this app is more restrictive than you might want. If you are celiac or otherwise cross-contamination-sensitive, there’s no other app that provides as comprehensive a list of truly safe places to eat. I’ll happily pay someone to grill restaurant owners about dedicated fryers so that I don’t have to 😅 as time goes on the list will only keep growing as they get more and more resources!
