    Bought multiple of these cameras for our ranch, and use the app for remote monitoring. The most frustrating thing early in the learning curve is understanding that you have to keep the batteries charged…I mean, really charged! Early on, I was using the most expensive batteries, Everready lithium, and taking a single picture, not video, every 15 seconds. Some cameras, this did fine for two or three weeks. Other cameras with more activity, such as deer that fed all night, my camera would shut down within a week. Unfortunately, the last picture would often transmit with one or two bars of battery life, and make me wonder why all of a sudden the “cameras” would die?!? It was actually the batteries.
    I have learned that a better choice is to use rechargeable batteries, hi baby and solar chargers. Both are even more expensive than Everready lithium, but it is the best way to keep the cameras from shutting down. The solar chargers breakdown, sometimes in only six months to a year, but even when they do the rechargeable batteries can be taken home and recharged. I keep two full sets, and trade out the old ones every two to 6 weeks, depending on whether the solar charger is working at that particular camera or not.

  • Trail Cam

    I love getting pictures on my phone. Wouldn’t be with out it. It helped me get a big deer. I also get pictures of bears , moose and elk. Being in the know of where and how game travels is so important year round
  • Simple functions on a pretentiously complex UI

    The camera, app and its functions are pretty simple but the vague description of settings and options over-complicate the UI and it can be frustrating to learn because of how long you have to wait to see how your settings affect the way the camera functions. Would be nice if it had an option to just take a picture or record a video instantly at-will. Seems like a pretty critical function to completely over look. After combing through the website it appears theres an “on-demand” setting that I haven’t been able to access. Either that or the name “on-demand” is very misleading. I paid for a year of unlimited data and have my camera set up in a spot with maximum carrier signal and it’s very slow when it comes to downloading photos and
    Syncing settings. It takes pictures on time daily and it catches movement consistently as far as I can tell but for the price I was hoping for better response and accessibility.

  • Great Cameras easy to use !

    Don’t use a SD card above 32👍 my hunting buddy and I love these cameras!
  • Metrics and Customer Service is Poor

    1) when you share a camera, the person who it is shared with cannot see the metrics showing the times an animal is at the trail camera. While they do have a neat graph that can be filtered on tags such as “hog” or “deer”, that shows time of day when the animals are present; only the owner of the account can see this. The only way to give them access is to share your password, which includes complete control of the account.
    2) I had to find the metrics and graph on my own. Calls to customer service for help with trying to figure out how to pattern animals met with that feature is not available. It really is, they are just ignorant of their app.
    3) I have never had an email to customer service responded to.
    4) They say they will get back to me after a phone call and never do.
    5) The desktop version does not allow filtering the metrics via tag. It also displays in a tiny pop-up. What is the use of a giant screen if you’re going to limit my view to a 4 in. square???

    Somewhere behind this app is a good developer that understands hunting. However, whoever is allocating features to customers is clueless.

    I want to like these cameras and app and they just make me mad on a regular basis.

  • Command mitigator

    I purchased two of these, hoping to set them out in my yard for my wildlife. I thought it would be nice to have something that would connect to my cell phone. I set up my account and it says to push the sync button so that you can look at the photo to make sure it’s working properly.
    On the cover the box, it says plans as low as four dollars a month they aren’t they start at five dollars a month per camera
    I could not find anywhere, if you could hook two cameras to the same plan or if you had two different plans, but regardless, when I tried hooking it up, the app is terribly difficult to navigate
    You can’t look at the plans before you put in your credit card information
    Also, you get so many videos (depending on plan )and so many photos per month again depending on the plan however, there isn’t any way on the camera to set up for videos or photos
    If you use more than your plan coverage, they charge you $.25 per video
    There are no instructions telling you how to set it up for video versus photo there’s no button on the camera itself to decide which you want either video or photo
    I tried to go back through their app to cancel my plan order, and there is no way to cancel your order. You can’t find your account because it says that your email address is incorrect even though they sent me a email confirming my account set up

  • Poor Customer Service

    I own 2 of the Stealth Cam Deceptors. Both started off great and one is still working fine. However, the second one back in October began draining batteries out of the blue, within a weeks time is was dead. This happened over and over after confirming settings. The problem then began when trying to contact customer support. I would call and go through the queuing process to my issue only to talk with a answering service that would take my information and issues and tell me someone would call back. Well after several days and no call I called again and then again for about 4-5 times. Finally, in mid November I got a call and was simply just sent a new camera and a sorry. Well once again that replacement is failing and not synching with the network. Once again I call and no return call service again and again. Very aggravating and not to mention I’m still paying for a service that’s not working while I get NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT.

  • Solar panel doesn't charge camera etc

    I have mine up in a tree in a spot where no one can steal it but it's a lot of work going up there so I decided to install the solar panel with it the camera last just as long as if it did not have the solar panel I have to keep going up there and changing out the batteries. Also I pictures on the camera that I cannot access for some reason. The whole experience was a letdown. I just really wish I went with a different camera. I did an entire day on research before picking this one at Costco because it was a good deal and I wish I went with one more expensive one that actually worked. I paid like six months of service just in hopes that they would fix the glitches but to no avail even after calling customer service. If I could I would give zero stars

  • Not worth it

    I expected more. My camera will show 3 or 4 bars of signal and I won’t get a picture for 5 or 6 days (including the daily test pic). So eventually you have to walk really close to the camera to get your pictures to upload. My 2nd camera took forever to sync to my account, like weeks and weeks and multiple calls to customer service which have huge wait times. Now that the camera is synced, it doesn’t work correctly. Will not take night pictures at all. Where the infrared should work, I get solid black pictures. Totally not worth trying to fix the issue. If I get a daytime pic, awesome if not oh well. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this brand to anyone.

  • No one will call me to resolve my problems

    I used to get great customer service and seldom had any problems with my cameras. Since the last updates, however, one of my cameras only sends my scheduled photos every few days rather than daily as it’s supposed to. I have great signal and ample battery. I have called Customer Service three times and no one from tech support is available to help me when I call. I get promised that someone will call me back every time and the last time wa told my call was escalated. But, no one has called me back yet. Yet I continue to pay my monthly bill. Hopefully someone will call..
