Makes lawn care enjoyable
Not bad
Like the journal, but if you journal 2 products in the same day only 1 shows up. Was a little confused about that at first, but can see they’re both listed, just only 1 shows
Looking forward to completing the year and seeing my grass health get better.
Good app!
Very helpful
Beautiful Yard
Yard mastery
Works when it wants to
Custom program locked behind a soft paywall
Right now, the custom program is locked until you purchase a soil testing kit that’s only from Yard Mastery. No way to link other soil testing that you got somewhere else. It doesn’t matter if you purchased fertilizers, biostims that have been recommended before. So now, it doesn’t recommend anything until you spend $30 for their kit. It’s not like I’m freeloading, the app already made me purchase a couple of stuff to give oomph to my lawn.
I guess I’ll start transitioning to a different app for keeping track of my applications. Kinda disappointed on the direction this app is going.
Response from developer
The app still provides a custom program. You just wont see any program steps to do to your lawn in the winter months. That would be Dec 10 - Jan 25 for everyone. We provide a customized lawn program based on the data you give us. Go to the menu -> settings -> lawn settings and set your preferences. The more data you give us the more we can customize your lawn program. Soil tests are just another data point. If you don't want to buy a soil test then don't. Keep enjoying the free program we give you. It works great.
Helpful but still frustrating…
Makes lawn care fun!
I have a few suggestions to improve the app. It would great to have a calculator built in that would give you the quantities of product you need based on ounces or pounds per square foot. For example, if you needed 3 ounces per 1000 square foot, you could input the square footage and the app would give you how many ounces or milliliters you need. The calculator could be manual or even better it could be calculated automatically when a user taps “complete this step.”
Also, it would be nice to have the ability to submit questions to a forum. I have questions at times but don’t have a place to ask. One thing I wonder is that I have a large yard but don’t have money to install an irrigation system and the water pressure where I live is too low to set up multiple sprinklers. Am I wasting money fertilizing when I know my grass will brown up and go dormant during a hot summer?
Just a few ideas for you to consider, but overall a great app.
