Great Practice Device
It’s nice to be able to practice whenever you want and loads of fun. Just going through the repetitions seems to be helping work on my grip, stance and trigger control. Obviously nothing can replace putting live fire down range but this lets you practice over and over and over so you’re more prepared when you do hit the range.

Could be a lot better
App is kind of “gamey” not many updates to improve realism.
The alignment tool for height over bore is very clunky and difficult to use. Give users ability to manual enter.
Target acquisition is sketchy, lighting really impacts it, and more than a couple targets greater than about a yard part is almost impossible.
If it would pick up multiple targets in a room spread throughout the room it would allow for simulated room clearing using multi shot laser systems such as your Blackbeard.
More setting for use with multi shot laser systems like dry fire mag and your very own Blackbeard needed. For instance your dot torture scenarios isn’t even realistic or comparable with the actual
Dot torture exercise.
I would buy your balckbeard system if I could use it to its fullest capability. But why if everything is mostly single shot?
I am happy with the training and improvements I have gained from you app. I have just outgrown it and need a lot more. I am vested in it and largely a brand loyal person to the degree I would even be willing to pay a small fee for your app if you upgraded it and added functionality. Maybe a free version and a paid version?

Awesome
I’ve only used the Laser Academy for a couple days now but I love it. I’ve had the X10 for a couple years and the laser just adds a next level to dry fire training. Lots of different drills but only 2 courses which was a little disappointing. Works really well with the laser Academy on the iPhone and the x10 on the iPad.

Great trainer
I love this trainer. It’s a huge savings to start but also helps with trigger control as well. The price will easily pay for itself with 2 range sessions with ammo and lane costs and you can practice any time on any day with no worries about getting range time or crowds. The only reason for no 5 star is I keep getting ghost shots and can’t figure out why. But all said I’d recommend this anyone who owns a firearm.

Make sure there is no glare coming from the objects around the target as well as from a camera lens cover. Let us know if you are still having issues.
IMPROVED MARKSMANSHIP
I have been using Laser Academy for over six months. I dry fire practice using it three to four days a week. I spend no more than ten to fifteen minutes maximum per session.
I was an experienced pistol shooter when I purchased it. I have been through NRA and USCCA instructor training. I disliked dry fire practice like many shooters but thought this might make it more enjoyable. And it does exponentially. It truly makes dry fire practice enjoyable. And with the audible feedback, gunshot sound, sound of a spent cartridge hitting the floor and audible score, the only thing that is missing is the recoil.
And I estimate it has improved my marksmanship skills by sixty to seventy percent in live fire practice. The savings in ammunition cost quickly pays for the system.
I recommend this to any shooter that wants to make dry practice fun and who wish to increase their skill level.

Great when it works
Great way to practice at home. Been using the app for a few months and am starting to see improvements in my skills. The app needs the perfect lighting and camera angle to work. Otherwise, it won’t recognize the target, won’t recognize the shots, and/or will pickup phantom shots. Be prepared to spend half of each session adjusting the camera. The audio features in the app usually don’t work. They randomly worked once, and were helpful that one time. I think this will be a 5 star practice tool once they get all the bugs worked out.

Great product
I’ve only used it a little bit so far, and am newer to dry fire training, but really enjoy using this. It’s easy to use, the feedback and scoring is great. No more boring sessions. Now to try my mantis X10
Great training tool could use some improvements
I really like the app. It’s a great way to get training in on my lunch break or when I can’t get to the range. Every trigger pull saves me 25 to 50 cents.
I do have trouble from time to time getting the app to recognize targets. It would be nice if I could use the standard targets with the small travel targets.
I wish you could set a par time for the drills.
While having a target number of trigger pulls is nice I wish I could see how many trigger pulls I have per weapon each day. Right now you just get a graph with a line for your daily goal.

Makes you better. Good warm up
I like to use this a little before the range and then I usually have less then 4-5” spread. The marksmanship course is great now that it’s updated. Tough but worth it if you wanna be better.
Constantly trying to acquire targets
It’s constantly loosing the targets in the middle of training and has to re acquire them. Not only that, but if there is any light in the room or your walls are white, you get nothing but red splotches and the targets won’t be acquired.
