Like it wish I could love it
I like this product. Great trainer. Issue I have with it is it keep crashing lately with my new ISO update. With the pistol marksmanship course It crush at 38 % completion. No matter how many time I delete the app and reload it dose this. It crash sometime to doing training drills. I have a iPhone pro 13. Also if you try to add a fire arm it will not load and freeze up. You will have to remove and upload the app again. If they issue weren’t there this training aid would be amazing.Show lessMoparmattu

Absolutely love the Mantis Laser Academy dry-fire training system. I’ve only had it for a couple weeks and have already spent many hours with it. Considering the ammo I’ve saved training this way, it’s probably almost paid for itself already. You’re obviously not going to simulate recoil but that’s not what this is about. You are practicing the draw, aiming, trigger finger technique, drills, etc. I even used the system to zero a red dot at home and and it worked great, getting perfect results at the range afterwards. Once my wife tried it, she liked it so much that she wanted her own LOL!!
I would have given the App a full 5 stars but a couple of the courses/drills seem to be a little buggy and shut down the app unexpectedly while using. Obviously frustrating when you’re starting to get into it and have a rhythm going. Hopefully, the app developers will get that worked out so I can update this review with the full five stars. The app is great otherwise, so I’m fully confident they will work out these flaws in future updates!!

I am also a first time user, having bought the kit several days ago, many issues with the app crashing after acquiring targets on camera, instructions guide does not open unless I delete the app and reinstall it. The courses and drill links are not functioning, password is not being remembered. All iOS updates are current on my phone and it appears 1.11 version of Mantis software is also on-board. I am currently going thru a fifth reinstall of the software..quite frustrating.Show less6.0liter

Love the app and training system the only thing that I think could be better is if you miss on the torture test the app didn’t exit you out this is a little annoying.Knight46588
Keeps Crashing!
I like the app and have seen some good results while using it, but it keeps crashing in the pistol marksmanship course on iOS. Would like some more drills similar to the Mantis X app. It would be great if you could integrate the two apps. I have been able to make it work with two different devices at the same time, but a full integration would be great! The tri-pod included in the standard (black one) kit is a nice touch, however when set up and fully extended, stability is a major issue. The camera once mounted is very susceptible to vibration and any slight touching of the camera, many false readings and missed shots. I pulled out my Bosch laser level/camera tri-pod very robust by comparison and that resolved the problem. Also I do use the camera shades as an added level of insurance against any potential lighting issues!Show lessa123l456f789
New to this one
Been working with Mantis X for the past year and got that system down pretty well (averaging 93-94). The Laser Academy poses some challenges (why didn’t it record “X” shot?) but just started so maybe between practice and customer service will get it down too.
Great follow up to Mantis X that trains you on movement (or rather the lack thereof!).
I think dry fire is boring and useless without feedback; the Mantis systems do a great job addressing that!Show lessQuo Usque Tandem
Neglected app
In dire need of a simple software update to match modern cameras. Despite using an iPhone 12 Pro Max, the video quality is reminiscent of an iPhone 3GS. This lowers the amount of detectable targets as the camera must be placed much closer to less targets. Additionally, being able to modify existing drills so you can use faster reset methods (cool fire, Blackbeard) is essential.Show lessi alexandru stefan
Crashing
First time user here. The app is crashing on me after I choose my pistol before starting the drills. Then I open the app again and none of the links to the drills or courses work. Is there a bug in the recent update or something, or am I missing something on my end. i’ve deleted and reinstalled the app about four or five times and still get the same problem.

I just got this, downloaded the app and started it up. As I was starting it crashed. Rebooted the app and I cannot select any training selections. I get the sound effects but the screen never changes. I deleted the app, reinstalled and tried again. Same thing so if you could fix this it would be great thank you. Email me when fixed.
