  • Absolutely amazing

I personally am going through a lot of social anxiety and have shown signs of imposter syndrome, and this game has helped me quite a lot. Though I haven’t had it for long, I have been feeling a lot calmer and more proud of myself for my achievements. There is so much to love about this game, from simply the calming sounds and the really cute graphics to the journaling and guided meditation. I actually am now able to make time for self care and extending some grace to myself. Though, I do have one question, are users of this game able to create gratitude glints? If so, how do you make one? Anyways, to whoever sees this, I hope you have a great day, and I highly recommend this game for anyone who wants to feel more at peace or anyone who is going through any storms in life.

So glad it's helping you! The gratitude glints were submitted by players who supported us on Kickstarter and Indiegogo!
  • Adorable

Omg, I love how cute amaru is! Aside from being relatively helpful, it keeps me on track with my tasks and what I should be doing at certain times. When amaru goes on an adventure, that’s when I start studying so it’s a great help
  • I’m loving this game!

It’s fun and easy going at the same time as being gentle, encouraging and entertaining! It’s kept my attention well and has been really interesting so far!
  • really good, yet needs more free choices

I got this app mainly for Amaru, yet ended up enjoying relaxing/breathing exercises now and then. However, there’s not much you can do without paying. You have meditation intros and breathing, and with Amaru, the only free options are to pet him/her, and feed him/her. You can also write journal entries for free. Very cute app.

  • I love and totally needed this app!!

This is app is so amazing! Even though you have to pay a small fee to get past the pay wall, all of the free things still help a LOT. I have had this app for about five days now, and I’m a lot happier and a lot less anxious. Before I got this app, I wasn’t smiling a lot at school and I had very low self esteem. Thanks to this app however, I’m smiling where ever I go and I hold my head high in the halls!✨✨ so thank you for creating such an amazing app!!!!!

  • Adorable, but Triggering me

The game is cute, but something has been bugging me about it and it took a couple days to figure it out. Amaru cowering and shaking is setting my anxiety off maybe due to mirror-touch synesthesia or coregulation issues. And when I'm petting it, it makes a gesture that I associate with a cat who doesn't want to be pet. It seems kinda reluctant to accept me. I've done all the things, earned my self-care stuff, got maps, fed the critter, pet it, filled the bars, and the next day it's cowering and reluctant. At best, reluctantly curious about me. The time it seems most happy is when it's leaping away on an adventure and it disappears, which triggers abandonment and shame issues for me.

This isn't a dig at the inventors/programmers or designers. I have been looking for something like this. But I don't have this much trouble earning trust from IRL critters, and if I did, I would totally back off and let them sort out the speed at which to approach me, not push myself at them. As an adult, I could push through this for the sake of the self-care reminders. But my inner child is really bothered by it, so this game probably isn't for me. It's increasing my anxiety…which is counter-productive.

I’m glad this game exists for others, and folks seem to be getting what they need from it.

Hello, As your Bond with Amaru increases, the animations become more friendly. Also, as you stick with your self-care and level up your Aura, Amaru wakes up anxious less often. Hope this helps!
  • Great Game! but few suggestions:

i wanna start by saying this game is amazing, and its so helpful to have a self care app that really makes it fun! but i would love if:

    1.
the lessons weren’t as lengthy in the tutorials. for example, instead of the voice talking to us and walking us through step by step, it could show some kind of image to portray how we could breathe instead! (take the app Finch’s breathing exercises, for example.) of course, there would be an option to enable this anyway, and people who like the current lesson format would be able to toggle it again

    2.
more social features were available. of course i know you’ve probably heard this 1 million times, but thats because the community really wants to share their Amaru’s with their friends! even if you cant actively play with someone else, you would be able to send them gifts, for example, and you could earn money (sorry im new to the game idk what everythings called) for recieving and giving gifts :D

    3.
    thats pretty much it, lol

but this game has amazing potential to really help people! and i’m so glad i stumbled across it when I did! Keep it up 😎🫵

Thanks for the suggestions! They're all excellent ideas. Unfortunately we don't have the resources to add them. Finch is a subscription product so they can afford to continuously expand. Amaru you only have to buy one time, so we do have to draw a line and call the game "done". Glad you're enjoying it!
  • Wonderful!

I’ve had this app for four days, and I love it. There’s a bunch of customization in what Amaru looks like, and the art is beautiful. One of my favorite things is that I listened to a few of the brightening exercises and they really helped me feel like I could get through my depression.
One question is how you can sign up for the golden key donation thing, I don’t have near enough money to spend on an app and I’d really love to be able to do more. Thank you!
