Freezes
Doesn’t allow any text entry to log on and won’t allow any screen interaction, have to crash out of the app every time. Without this app you can’t record stories to upload to the creative tonie a feature I wanted for my granddaughter.

Freezes
Freezes every time I go to enter my email address.
Very poor experience and poor hardware
Knock the box even just a bit and loses power. (Too bad knocking the sides are how you fast forward and reverse. Brilliant!) And you can’t control the toniebox with the app? Can’t jump to a particular part in a story. Can’t read-along. Can’t set a sleep timer, turn it on or off, etc. What’s the point of an app? (except for obviously harvesting any and all data about my family for sale). There is nothing smart about this. It’s just an nfc reader with a small speaker attached. There’s no reason for this thing to function as poorly as it does. Huge disappointment and is going right back to the store.

Spamming notifications
This app will spam you with offer notifications with no in app option to stop it, so you have to disable all notifications.

Doesn’t connect to WiFi. Now own a useless pink box.

Love it BUT
This is a great thing for any child or even adult that struggles to sleep and doesn’t mind a bit of disney or anything for that matter. My only quibble is you can’t control the tonies atall. By this i mean skip songs go back a song start the story from the start without having to do the whole tonie. Im only bothered about the main tonie that comes with it you have ti listen to the whole intro before any on the loaded stories even play!

Creative Tonies process doesn’t work
We were excited about the Creative Tonies and ability to pick our own content and mix it up. However, it looks like those were a waste of money. The process for getting the content from app onto Creative Tonies works about 10% of the time. Very disappointed.
Easy to use, but too simple with no diagnostics
Our kids have been loving their Tonies, we’ve got family abroad that have been recording stories which are played over and over, really great.
The incredibly simple physical controls are great when things work, but this simplicity extends to the app, which provides no information about battery charge state, firmware version etc and is useless for any attempts to debug or solve issues (our speaker recently stopped working). It would be great for some of these diagnostics to be displayed in the app, it seems remote support can see this info, so why not make it visible? If this was augmented it would make the toniebox even more useful - so I need to charge before jumping in the car on that trip, etc

Horrible app and experience
Save your time and money!! This was ridiculous from start to finish (putting it back in the box to return it)
Spent two hours connecting it to WiFi, probably the worst setup process I’ve ever seen among the 50+ smart home devices I have…and for a kids toy 🙄
Like the cheapest smart home devices, this only connects to 2.4ghz WiFi, since they couldn’t pay a bit extra for a better chip. However, even so, it wouldn’t connect to ours, which works perfectly with the 100+ other devices we have.
Once I gave up and connected it to a mobile hotspot, it said it would download the music from each piece so it didn’t have to be connected to WiFi all the time. Wrong! I tried it and it didn’t work when it wasn’t connected to WiFi after initially adding the pieces.
And to top it all off, if you put it on the base just the wrong way, or slightly bumped it, it would lose power until you bumped it again.
Really bad hardware, even worse software. What a waste of time on what should be so simple.

Zero stars, do not recommend
I bought my daughter her first Toni box in Germany a few years ago and it was great until the thing stopped working. Was super excited to be able to buy her another tonibox however the App is awful and the box will not connect to wifi. Pretty expensive item and as it turns out, quite faulty too!
