Could be an invaluable resource
I would love to have this be a useable resource this school year; and, unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to work correctly. I will gladly edit my rating if this becomes an accurate, reliable resource. Thank you in advance!
Delete and start over
I have no idea why the developers have not removed this and developed a functional app. For the past week it doesn’t load and displays a try again message. Why have schools advertise more useless tools.

I give it 0 stars I been trying to get into the app since it was introduced to the parents it’s doesn’t work. Called the bus company, the school, and I got a number but still not working worse app ever invented. It’s been a year and this app still doesn’t work.
It works only 60% of the time…
But when it works, it works great. Certain mornings it doesnt work at all and just shows it’s loading. It’s extremely frustrating when you are trying to get your child ready for school and are worried they are going to miss the bus. Please fix the glitches.

the app does not work half the time. its beyond annoying and inconvenient. its keeps looping and doesn't allow you to login. it doesnt help that the bus itself doesnt have a consistent schedule. Do better!

Disgrace
As a software engineer myself being forced to use this app to track my child’s bus is a disgrace. She has cerebral palsy and has t ride the bus every day . This was supposed to be a tool to assist in coordination with the bus company. All this is , is a headache which is sad because an app like this doesn’t take much to work smoothly . You’re not re inventing the wheel gps tracking with devices is simple . You guys have NO EXCUSE for having such a poorly made app!!! These kids need everyone’s BEST effort . It just seems like via took the DOE’s money and delivered whatever they wanted. Wish they launch a bid for someone to make a new app! I would build one that rips this one to pieces by MYSELF. Via should be ashamed of themselves!!!

Logs me out twice a day. Slow.
I applaud and support the intention here. I use this in the morning to make sure the bus isn’t late and in the afternoon to make sure it isn’t arriving early. But the frustrations with this app make it unusable at times.
1) I have to enter my password multiple times a day on the same device, which is very, very frustrating. This app needs to take advantage of iOS authentication mechanisms that are much faster, such as Face ID.
2) Beyond that frustration, the performance can be unacceptably slow at times, with 10+ second waits to see the map after logging in, and sometimes multi-minute latency on the driver’s exact location, which undermines the degree to which I can trust this app.
Parents are busy, and this app is used during some of the most stressful times of the day. Please invest in it further so that it reduces our stress rather than adding to it. Thank you!

When it is working properly it’s great. Otherwise like this morning , it just keeps buffering and you cannot get in. Has happened 3 times since the app first launched. Why can’t the city and it’s IT staff get it together and work out these glitches? It’s called , testing, updating, quality assurance and caring about your job , the community and the whole purpose of creating this app. The same thing happens with the NYC parking App. Never have any problems with any other App I have ever used. Always an issue with anything affiliated with a NYC App only.
