It took me a while to figure out that it takes a few steps to save a recording. Unfortunately I lost my first two recordings because I didn’t press the save enough times. So they were not saved. If you do decide to use this app, be sure that you follow through after the recording, and not only save it once, but save it again after it asks you to name your recording.Show lessfreedom of yhe press!

I recorded a memo before paying the subscription. It said that I had to subscribe before I could save the recording. Not wanting to lose it, I entered all my payment info and subscribed. Unfortunately, it kept asking me to subscribe before telling me it had lost my recording, so now I’m out $10 and don’t have my recording, which is why I bought the subscription…Show lessSavedByGrace!!!

I’ve been relying on this app for quite a while since the built in voice recorder on my iPhone has run out of storage. This app has been simple and convenient enough for all my voice recording needs, and I’ve loved it for that very reason. Simple and easy. So imagine my surprise when I go to save my recording, and am suddenly being told that I can only record and save if I purchase their monthly subscription. I’m sorry, WHAT?! I’m not upset that you’d have to pay for an app like this. After all, the creators have the right to charge what they see fit. I’m just upset that a previously free to use app is suddenly paid, and to be honest, I don’t use it enough to feel like I’d be getting my money’s worth with a $9.99/month subscription. Seeing the sudden change without warning just made me kind of sad, and unfortunately, I’ll have to say goodbye to this app because of it.
Goodbye, VoiceRecorder. You have served me well, though you have no place on my phone now. I wish you the best on your journey, but regrettably hope we’ll never see each other again. Salut, caio, auf weidersehen, adios, tchuss, goodbye.

Thought I had found my app for recording interviews, but I ran into the same problem so many others have discovered. After two recordings, I had to subscribe in order to save my recording, so I did. It still would not let me save what I had recorded, and I kept getting the screen urging me to subscribe to the premium service. If you're going to require a subscription, it would be really wonderful if the subscription would activate and people could save their work! I canceled immediately, and if the charge shows up on my credit card I will be telling them to refuse it.Show lessMelMcC55
I was really excited to think I found an app that works but it took my money?
I paid for the subscription as I was needing to access the iCloud services marketed in the app. After buying this subscription, it’s still showing the screen that says I need to buy a premium account. So I exit out and go back into the app thinking it needs time to process but it’s still showing me the screen that says “Get premium to access everything!”, this time turning my phone on and off, same thing, same message. My Apple id and bank both have the deduction that shows I’m subscribed to the app, but I am yet to see the truth from it that I expected. I can’t even record any audios on the app at all at this point. I’m dissatisfied and disappointed with this app and it taking my money.Show lessGabbie🙈😛

I used voice memo to record some static I was experiencing on my ham radio so I could share it with a fellow enthusiast to see if he could help me discern the type of interference I was picking up. The audio was so good he knew immediately it was a power loss coming from the power lines off property and not something in my ham shack!Show lessflnatv
Won’t recognize my subscription; deletes recordings
I purchased a pricey subscription to this app to save the recordings I made of my reading a book for my newborn baby in the ICU. When I try to save new recordings, despite the fact that I subscribed earlier (with credit card charge and apple subscription receipt) it prompts me to buy a subscription. When I close and restart the app to try and remind it that I have a subscription, it deletes my recordings. I have lost the recordings I made for my baby. Totally stressful, unpleasant experience. Worst Experience Rver
I bought this app to record four extremely important meetings. Three of the four did not save and I missed an incredible amount of important information! The one that recorded was very problematic in recovering the meeting document. I purchased the deluxe version with no better results. I am going to cancel and request a full refund. The lack of performance by this app has cost me valuable time and information that I will never get back. Easy to use
I’m glad I can easily use this voice recorder app and have it play while I access other apps. That makes it easy to listen to an audio track while I write and sing lyrics. Some apps close if you go to another app, but this voice recorder app stays open in the background even if you open another app like Notes. The only problem so far is that I selected the repeat track icon, but the music did not repeat, so that’s the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars. The actual functioning of the app is fine but once you record up to a certain amount they ask you to subscribe for $10 a month. Which is steep but I needed it for some work so I decided to purchase. However… in the middle of recording an important work interview , I tried to save the audio recording and it popped up with the prompt to purchase the subscription (as if I hadn’t purchased it already) and would not let me save even after I tried to say I had bought the subscription. I closed the app but then I lost the audio file. This happened twice before I went to Apple and got a refund.Show lessthestripedcow
