Excellent so far
I am a very long time user of voice dictation going back to IBM‘s via voice days prior to 2000 and I have been following the developments closely. With this voice recorder I can take notes and pause the recording whenever I need to and when I am done I play the dictation back and put my headset microphone next to the iPhone speaker and press Siri and I’m getting excellent transcription even when talking very rapidlyShow lessGilden1
Unreliable
This product is unreliable. Sometimes you go back into the app and the recording you saved is gone. There is no message or any warning that recording will be lost. The first time it happened I assumed I made an error, so I was very careful saving and exiting after that, and my recordings were saved. Tonight it happened again - recording disappeared - a very important one at that. I had carefully saved the recording. Great so far just
I like the app, I’m a freshman in high school and having a bit of a hard time keeping up with the fast pacing of my teachers. Especially biology, so this is great to review what I learned for the day. Also love how it continues to record even though my phone shuts off and while going through other apps. Though I wish the volume could be more higher or louder. Because it is really noisy in class and I want to be able to hear clearly, the recording is also a bit quite. I don’t necessarily need anything more from this app other than recording lessons. But I do wish there were more features. Seems a little underdeveloped but still great for just recording lessons.Show less|Angela|
Great for college students
I use this to record my lectures for classes ! I love it. The sound quality is amazing nice and clear and you can hear the recording very well . Also it’s free
No monthly subscription or anything ! I went through about 50 apps and you had to have a subscription what college student has money for that ? This one is free simple and amazing sound .Show lesswhitney o ya !
Great app!
Exactly what I was looking for! Features I wanted that at least 8 other apps didn’t have before I found this one: ability to pause then resume recording, and ability to have the phone go to sleep (so screen is off) and the audio playback doesn’t stop. Voice recorder
This is one of the best recording apps available. I use it often to record our performances to see how we sound. I’ve also used it to record instructions delivered by phone calls. Definitely a 5+ starred app.427uke
Reading to grandchildren
My grandchildren ( 2 toddlers) won’t let me read a book to them because they have to have the book in their hands flipping the pages. I taped the book and played it while they were flipping the pages and they were excited. I even asked personal questions using their names and asking if they enjoyed the book. Jesus Christ the transcription feature is amazingly good. I’m going to use this all the time! Is there a setting for recording phone calls?
The design is brilliantly done to allow plenty of space between controls for fewer accidents and it’s pretty intuitive. What didn’t seem to work like I would think it should is that I ought to be able to navigate to any sub directory and start a recording there that gets placed there too. Maybe in an update 😊 Overall it’s an excellent program that does beautiful recordings very easily and the transcription feature puts it over the moon, very well done.Show lessSimanonok

Recording lost for important event
I have never written a negative product review before but I was very let down by this app. I was asked to record and later write a detailed summary of a 1 hour event. I started the recording using this app and checked twice during the event that the app was still recording. However when I checked the app at end of the event it was not recording and I could not find any audio file for the meeting. It seems the recording stopped by itself and nothing was saved. I depended on the app to record the event and let down people depending on me. I will not use this app again and do not recommend it.Show lessRBC20815
