Maybe hire a tech person?
Just put in a very expensive HVAC unit and were told our Nest wasn’t compatible. Furthermore, “Nest is made by tech people in Silicon Valley and this American Standard is better because it’s made by HVAC people”. I feel like I’ve gone back in IT time by 20 years. I’m expecting to see Oregon Trail pop up on it any minute. It’s horrible. The app and settings are not user friendly, don’t begin to give me the flexibility and options my Nest did, and the whole app is clunky. They seem so proud to offer the weather on it. Who goes over to their thermostat to check the weather? We all have the weather in our hands. Further proof this thing is decades behind the times. Please hire a tech person from Silicon Valley to fix this app. This app is antiquated technology.Great HVAC, bad app
All I was is something that works as well as the nest app I had before but this thing fails on ease of use and reliability. It frequently times out when communicating with my actual American Standard thermostat so I'll be in a situation when returning from vacation where one HVAC unit is stuck on away mode whole the other is ready for my return.
And save me from your suggestions to reach out to an email or phone number, AS developers. Your technical support redirects all real serious questions back to a certified American Standard dealer, essentially forcing people to pay for a service call to use the app.Scheduling is super painful to use
I can’t zoom in or out on the schedule. It’s difficult to set my schedule around my 3-6 time of use plan. Which is difficult because during the weekday I want to be able to pre-cool at 2pm then raise to higher temp at 3pm but the visual representation is so crammed together I cannot figure out what temperature it’s set at for the 2pm let alone the temp to post cool at 6pm.
The one thing the app should do really well is scheduling but of all the HVAC apps I’ve used American standard is the worst user friendly.
Please can someone fix the app?
