Super dodgy developer
I really enjoyed the game and thought I’d add a no ad feature, I don’t mind spending few quid on a game if it’s cool and I’m sticking to it for longer than few hours. I also added +1 hour guard and +50% profits do I’d make more out of limited time competition prisons. And that’s where the whole issue begun- once you add +50% profit, you lose ability to double income by watching an ad, I find this very misleading as there’s not a single word about the fact that after adding “accountant”, player loses very valuable option for 2x income... what’s the point of the “skip the ad” option then? I’m very disappointed and honestly feel like scummed now. I enjoyed the game and for a long time, this was one playable game, unfortunately, as always, it’s completely ruined by the never ending greed of developers and as always, I strongly believe that spending money on mobile games is always a con- no refunds and no any response from devs. If buying something on Steam, you have an option for refund, than on the mobile platform, devs are kinda free to do whatever they want. I’ll try to contact App Store support and see if there’s any chance for a refund, as this is clearly a day time robbery. My advice to anyone- enjoy the game and if you feel you fed up with the ads, just leave it there, as you’ll be disappointed after finding out that removing ads is nothing more than a con.

Constant crasher
Edit: Developers contacted me quite quickly after my first review and game was fixed through an update. Works perfectly fine and I’m back to being happy!
A good game...for the two whole days it worked. Now all it does is crash upon opening. Updating, restarting, deleting and the reinstalling did nothing to rectify the problem. Contacting the developers is just as frustratingly difficult so I gave up after about an hour. Normally I wouldn’t bother posting a negative review but considering I spent $30 on in-game purchases & 2-day life span of the game, I’m willing to make the exception. A pity as the game has real potential. Very disappointed fan here.

Good game needs update
The only reason I gave this game a 4 star and not a 5 is because of the bugs. It doesn’t always double my money even after I watch an ad for it. It does this quite often. Also if you are building something and you close the app, sometimes no progress will be made even if you are off for more than the allotted hour. It gets a little frustrating when the prisoners riot, it seems to happen every time I get on and honestly it’s a little ridiculous. How can the prisoners walk through whatever door they want? Isn’t this suppose to be a prison? And lastly the upgrade cost. It will take you forever at the later prisons you unlock to get money because it’s not always the same amount. It cost way too much to put in an infirmary, why is it more than 2 million??? Just some things that need improvement. On the plus side it’s still fun to play, to an extent. I recommend hotel empire tycoon it’s much more realistic and flows much better with a lot less bugs.

Very addictive and extremely fun
I absolutely love this game I even bought the ad remover for the game and it’s just so fun and the game passes time a lot and quick, one thing That I don’t like is that the janitors just go to a certain messy area and they just walk over other messes, it would be very nice if their ai could be tweaked a bit so they would clean every mess around them instead of going to a specific one and ignoring the rest of them. Another thing, it would very cool if friends can be added so you can for example visit them etc. But overall a really fun game. 5 out of 5 stars definitely.

Good but has problems
Okay so I like this game, it’s definitely a good time killer. I’m on the third prison now and I like how each one so far has been a bit different from the last, the designers are very creative.
But two things:
1. The rate that prisoners are rehabilitated in the normal prisons is so so so slow. And with only an hour of offline time it takes FOREVER to get to the new prisons. My second prison ended up saving over 30 million dollars because of how long it took to open the next one. There’s literally nothing to do once you upgrade everything unless you pay actual money to get the longer offline time.
2. Every single time, and I mean EVERY TIME, you open the event prison, a riot breaks out and you lose all of your guards and most of your prisoners so you start losing money. My guards are upgraded as much as they can be and I was keeping all of them staffed, but it’s gotten to the point where I only keep a few because I’m wasting the money trying to prevent riots when there’s nothing I can do. The regular prison guards are able to stop riots without a full staff there’s no reason the event ones can’t also.

Not good enough for the wait
Let’s start with the good. I began playing this game because it was advertised to me frequently and I wanted the ads to go away. I started playing causally and the first prison was pretty well paced and, with the help of watching ads to give you boosts in the game, I was able to get through it quickly. It was fun while it lasted.
As for the bad parts of this game, I find the idea of running a prison and making money off inmates to be glorified in a mobile app somewhat wrong. The more I played, the more I didn’t like the idea. Whenever I open my game, I had instant prison riots as if the prisoners couldn’t help themselves and had to riot at every opportunity. I think there should be a cool down on riots every 24 hours because it’s not a good look. Finally, the most flawed part about the gameplay was how slow it is the further you go. The prison I’m on now has been fully upgraded for weeks and I still haven’t met my prisoner quota for a new one. If you wanted to keep me playing, I would extend the one hour afk timer. I can’t imagine checking my phone every hour of the day just to close it because my prison is fully upgraded and I can’t progress in an interactive way. It’s scummy for the game to set the timer so low and put a better timer behind a paywall. For all these reasons, I will be uninstalling.

Amazing idle, challenging, fast paced.
The word challenging is a word I’ve ever used in describing an idle. Real goals real strategy real consequences for not completing said goals. This is not just leveling up with money you that will come to you over time, it’s a balancing act where each decision you make plays into the story and the story here is more than just a plot. Money is tight right now and I don’t have tons of cash to use on a game and that will change in time and the reason I mention this is for a point I have never ever spent one penny on an idle not because they aren’t worth spending cash on but because I get bored quickly with non fighting idles it’s level up come back later level up with cash that you are guaranteed to make this is not that kind of game. The skill involved with so many variables should absolutely hold my interest. This is an idle masterpiece and if you get bored quickly on idles for the same reasons I do no worries here this game begs for continued play. This game is alive, engaging and it will be a different gaming experience for each person who plays. Download and prepare yourself for the idle experience that you didn’t think was possible. I want more from these developers and I’ll be on the lookout for whatever they put out.

Awesome game! But...
I absolutely love this game, I’m currently trying to complete the most recent updated prison (the cyber one) and its going great so far, but since said update my game has run into a few bugs, even after the bug fix update 2 days ago. In the second last pristine, trees and greenery from the yard is cutting through some of the prison cells, and in some prisons, I’ve noticed it most recently in the event prison, that riots happen even when I have 0 prisoners
I also want to know does the golden key from the event challenge actually exist? I spent thousands of gems just trying to get it (great for my card collections now but I’m tired of spending money on overpriced gems) just to try and get this key that I’m losing faith in its existence

Love the game...
Updated review: they seem to have fixed the issue mentioned below pretty quickly! I still LOVE the game. I’m sad I missed out on so much of iron fortress, however, I’m grateful to have my game back! There are still a few bugs that need to be fixed but nothing that affects the gameplay too much. I enjoy it, it’s technically not an “idle” game you can only collect one hour outside of the game unless you pay for more.

UPDATE FIXES ISSUE
This is an idle game done right. It is addictive, and seeing my prison grow and prisoners going about a daily routine whilst janitors cleanup, and guards go about patrolling (breaking up fights, taking prisoners to the doctor, breaking up riots etc) is so pleasing. It’s the first idle game I’ve spent more than a few hours on, and I’m now up to my 4th prison. By the way, all the prisons that you unlock can be returned to at any time, with progress still occurring there. This reminds me a little of prison planner on pc (obviously not as in depth), like a lite version of it.
***The new update has fixed the issue where the game would crash upon loading. I have purchased the ad blocker which was inactive in the new update, but a handy ‘restore purchases’ in the settings brought it back in seconds. Well done Developers for fixing this within a few days! This is the kind of developer that we need more of for these kind of apps. Hopefully people will edit their reviews to reflect better on the game (as I just have).***
