Works well with one annoying daily glitch

I’ve held off doing an initial review but after a few months and upgrading to the Sensit - Connect from the original Watchman I am quite happy. It does seem to under read a little which maybe down to how I have the tank settings, although all I have used are there own details. Example is on the recent fill the app said I used 500 litres the full was 700 (quite a difference).

Now for the glitch, I receive daily push notifications normally about 1 o’clock in the morning, strangely yesterday I received one at around 9pm then today another at 6am. I have changed all the settings and turned the notifications off completely within the app settings but they still come through. I don’t want to resort to stopping notifications within the iPhone settings although if this continues it will be my next and last step.

Can’t even register

App says that the serial number is invalid on my phone Apple 11 pro. I used the S number on the device and tank sensor which match. My husband was able to enter the number on his phone, and it seemed to accept this. So annoying as this is WHY I bought the thing!

I’ve just reviewed a response from developer. I don’t want the app on my husbands’ phone. I am owner of the house in which this is installed. It is my business and useless on anyone else’s phone other than mine. I have had no response from the customer services email given (emailed twice) and the links on the website user and installation guide don’t work. Ridiculous!

App not working … then starts working

Having upgraded to Watchman Advanced and Sensit I found that the app didn’t work. The Sensit did not communicate data to the app, which just hangs says it’s waiting for data (after several days). I reinstalled the app several times and even deleted and restarted my account. The Sensit was reading the tank data and sending daily emails with the tank level (so I know the Sensit and the Watchman are communicating), but it didn’t communicate this data with the app. After nearly two weeks it suddenly started working (although registering two tanks which was rectified by logging out of the account and logging back in again). The other major problem was that the Sensit continually forgot my SSID and password after powering off and on, so it had to be reset manually. Eventually, after eight or nine tries, it has retained the Wi-Fi settings (I think there may also be a problem resetting the WiFi details if the app is open on another device). I’ve noticed several users have reported similar problems so the software is not as robust as it should be. But, for me at least, now all working. For reference, I’m using IOS16.2 and Kingspan Connect version 1.3.1.

Hello, thank you for your feedback. I am glad to hear the app is working again for you. When the SENSiT is powered off and back on again it will go back to the 'flashing green' light sequence initially to allow for it to be paired to a different network if required, but it will then, after a period of time, fall back to the last known settings it was sent by the app. If you need any more assistance please contact us at sensor@kingspan.com.

Melissa @ KingSpan contacted me after I reported problems with the recent App updates and within an hour or so she had the problems all ironed out. The App is working as it should again. Very pleased to have it back up and running and with the excellent support provided.

Watchman Upgrade

After many years with one of the old Watchman devices on our oil tank, our grandson got us a sensit last year as an upgrade. I was skeptical at first if this would be useful as it was already very easy just to read the display on the plug and know how much oil was in the tank. However, after a year of using the app I have to admit I am impressed with how simple it is to use. The estimated run out date and average liters per day data is particularly useful, especially in the winter time. Good work!

Really Impressive App!!

I have been impressed by this app and how it allows me to check the level of oil in my tank even when I am away from home. Installation of the device was straight forward and scheduled push notifications mean I get updates of my level regularly without having to open the app and check.

iOS 16

I have had the system for 6 months works absolutely fine until I upgraded to iOS 16 now I get the notifications every morning but I no longer get the graphics of the tank level I have reset everything and reloaded the app but still no graphics one week on could you please see if an update is required for the change to iOS 16

Tank Reading Differences

It’s early days since fitting the Watchman Advanced Sonic and Sensit devices but rather than my readings going down they are going up. I appreciate the weather will affect the readings to some degree but wasn’t expecting my readings to increase every day. It does raise concerns about the accuracy of the devices but I do like the fact I can monitor my tank content through an app. Time will tell if it has been a worthwhile investment.

Long test

Had system for about a year works perfect can’t fault it Anytime any anywhere I can check my oil level !!!!!! Until I had internet trouble and replaced the home hub. After a week of stressful pairing issues and 3 phone calls later The help desk fixed my issue first time. Great product great back up For the price you cant ask for more 11/10. Thank you

Now I love it!!!

Had all sorts of problems but fortunately for me Melissa from the developer team got in touch. She went above and beyond to help until we finally found the problem.
If you have a SSID with anything other than normal characters you might struggle.
Really big thumbs up to Melissa!!
