This app does not work. Every update the performance gets worse and worse. It does not let you into your account it just gives a blank screen most of the time. Often when I try to purchase an add-on, it places the add to cart button outside of my screen! So it is impossible to actually add anything to the cart.

Truly horrible app

The only really bad thing about being with 3 is dealing with this app. I hate it with a passion. It’s riddled with bugs and the UI is generally slow and unresponsive, and badly designed in general. The UI also inexplicably changes completely from one login to the next, making me think that 3 are simultaneously operating multiple versions of their software at their end, or possibly sometimes connecting me to the website instead of the native app. It leads to a confusing experience where actions are located in different places on different days. The in app chat experience is terrible as well, repeating errors and disconnecting. The chat transcript button often doesn’t work (seems to depend on which version of the interface I’m looking at). Three should rebuild this app from scratch.

Update: I’ve just tried to go through the upgrade process in the app to get a new phone. Terrible, frustrating experience which ended in failure, due to various blocks of text and UI elements being in inaccessible offscreen locations, which just the very edges showing.

Never works anymore

I’ve been with three for more than 10 years and I used to think anyone who wasn’t with them was missing out! The three app used to be so easy to use and so helpful.

However the last 3-4 years the app has become a nightmare. Every time I open it, it requires an update. Half the time the buttons I try to click don’t work, or send me to three’s webpage on safari, which doesn’t load (also, what’s the point of having an app if half the things I try to do link me to the webpage??) The live chat has become more difficult to find than it used to be and more difficult to use. Today when I tried to open the app, I logged in to my account and was greeted by nothing but an entirely white screen, even after closing out of the app and re-trying, the same result, and this was AFTER I had to update it to even open it in the first place!!!!

Trying to upgrade my phone contract has become something I dread every year. I am seriously considering changing provider.
