Truly horrible app
Update: I’ve just tried to go through the upgrade process in the app to get a new phone. Terrible, frustrating experience which ended in failure, due to various blocks of text and UI elements being in inaccessible offscreen locations, which just the very edges showing.

Never works anymore
However the last 3-4 years the app has become a nightmare. Every time I open it, it requires an update. Half the time the buttons I try to click don’t work, or send me to three’s webpage on safari, which doesn’t load (also, what’s the point of having an app if half the things I try to do link me to the webpage??) The live chat has become more difficult to find than it used to be and more difficult to use. Today when I tried to open the app, I logged in to my account and was greeted by nothing but an entirely white screen, even after closing out of the app and re-trying, the same result, and this was AFTER I had to update it to even open it in the first place!!!!
Trying to upgrade my phone contract has become something I dread every year. I am seriously considering changing provider.
