Wonder if ai have chosen the right product

The system was installed few weeks ago, and the app never was brilliant, but at list I could manage the basics.
since the last 1,2 weeks no chance to log in if not for few minutes here and there and I found parameters changed without my authorisation… this is embarrassing.
On IPhone the app is terrible but even online I have problems from a laptop, I need to do it directly from the inverter…. Speechless!!
Contacted the support , let’s see, hope they will give me at list a reason to change this review.

Much Improved

When first installed i had all of the issues others had listed with this app. Fox then sent the inverter a new over the air software update which after power cycling the inverter sorted all of the issues. The app isnt super slick and there is a massive delay between whats actually happening and what is shown on the apps cloud sourced data.
Hopefully they keep investing and it gets better.

Good app, two issues

On the whole UI seems good despite other reviews (perhaps there has been an update since) however there is two things that I would like to see, and I would love to send screen shots but don’t know where:
1) when you hover over the graphs a pop up shows with the stats however when you move along the graph the pop up can get cut in halved by the screen.
2) I have been told by workers that for those in the UK the income statistics which has the info in £ that this is pointless and unrealisable so, because of this I would like to have the option to remove this or for it to be removed automatically since it’s not accurate or useable

Other than that I think it’s pretty good, small additional changes could be made to improve the experience but the points mentioned seems to be the main issues for me

Works OK. Could be Better

My experience with connecting the App to my system has been pretty good. Only once or twice have I had to close the App and reopen it to get a connection.

As others have said, accessing the information that is important to me means clicking through 2 or 3 screens. The graphs cannot be zoomed in on and the colours for Output Power and Grid Consumption Power are too alike so it’s not easy to distinguish between the two on the graph.

I like the feature to be able to adjust amount for the feedback tariff so I can have more of an idea of how much I should be receiving from my supplier.

Won’t load on my IPhone

I have tried to load this app a dozen times on my IPhone Xr running IOS 15.4.1 and also on an old IPad but when trying to sign up it times out with a message “The request timed out” before I finish the process and won’t go any further. I have removed the app and reinstalled it several times but always the same result.
I then tried it on my wife’s IPhone 8 running the same IOS and it installed first time, no problem.
Now I have it on a working phone I am not over impressed. The delay is excessive. If you turn on a kettle it has boiled and gone off without the app reflecting the change in power draw.
I would also like to be able to adjust the level of battery charge from the grid but cannot see a way to do this apart from the timer. The help icons don’t work. Sorry.

Needs Work

This app has potential to be good, but it is currently hampered by an awkward interface and inaccurate data display.
The app also seems to be intermittent in connecting to the inverter, so sometimes displays wildly inaccurate information.
One of the most annoying aspects is how much lag there is in calculating and displaying the amount of solar energy generated throughout the day, usually still updating hours after sundown, so I wonder about the accuracy of the totals and what happens at midnight to any data that hasn’t been totalled before a new day starts. I have noted various discrepancies over the few months that the system has been installed. The big question is where the fault lies, if it is in the app, then not so much a problem, but if it is inverter side, then potentially this is more serious and might indicate reliability issues.

Not bad, two problems.

Overall does the job. There are two issues for me. The most important is that the device data and battery screens sometimes simply lie to you, showing old data. Battery at 40% after a few sunny hours? “Hmmm that doesn’t look right” log out and log back in again “Oh, actually 80%”. It needs to refresh more often or give a way for the user to force refresh.

On the UI side, it’s designed to cope with users who have multiple sites and multiple devices. That means a lot of drilling down if you have just one.

Tap ‘my site’ > tap on the site > tap ‘my device’ > tap the device > tap > real-time data.

It feels that it should intelligently shortcut some of these options for single device owners.
