I wish I’d found this sooner!!!
What I was searching for:
1. Food log without calorie tracking
2. A way to make notes in the food log so I know how I felt about my food choices and how they affect me
3. Something to signal when I’m practicing my ED so I can see in a timeline what may have led to the behavior
4. An easy to view timeline
It looked like it was back to carrying pen and paper to do this, and we all know how well that’d go over in the age of smartphones!
This app covers all four and more! I love the gentle reminder to make note of the behaviors I’m choosing to change in order to be healthy, and that I don’t have to remember to note how I felt at the time. A gentle reminder to be honest about the choices I made (good and bad) has made it so I don’t just remember the bad choices, and I get to be proud of myself when I’m doing well!
Then there’s the mood diary so I can keep track of how things are going even when I’m not making note of a meal or snack. Again, it has all the prompts I need to make sure I can go back and review my entries and have a real overview of how things are going.
Finally, I can view my whole time line in chronological order, and even do a search for a specific date range.
I’m so excited to have found this app!!

App is great!
This app is great and I’ve been using it the past few months to try and recover from my ED.
The only feature I wish that was added is the ability to edit the time after a food entry has been made. Sometimes I accidentally make a food entry that says that I finished right now when I actually finished it last night but when I click on the entry to go change it, there’s no option to edit the time.

Very helpful. Especially for ‘in the moment’ support
As the subject says, this is fantastic for in the moment support, and for very soothing. I especially love the cute little character, and mix of CBT, DBT and the more recent ACT (which I find incredibly helpful.)
Great app for recovering
I love this app it allows me to select how I’m feeling and provides me with daily tips and lets me record my thoughts so I can look back at each day and see what affected the way I felt that day.
Gentle and non-judgemental
I’m in recovery for an ED and I’ve been looking for an app to log meals without calorie tracking. I’ve tried a few others that ended up being too clinical and took too long to log meals, or too simple and I couldn’t easily see the history. So far, I love this app because I can easily see my meal logs, track thoughts and feelings, and the chat feature is really gentle and helpful. There’s also an option to take a photo of your plate which I will probably do instead of entering each item. Thank you for this app!

The best app for recovery!
I have found this app to be so helpful in getting my binge eating disorder under control. Brighter Bite is easy to use and works very well I’ve not had any trouble while using the app. I highly recommend Brighter Bite!!
It’s good
It’s good. I love how simple it is with the nice music in the background. The only problem I have with it is the 600 word limit. I have a lot of thoughts and it’s hard to condescend them into 600 words 😅 but other then that it’s a good app.
analysising ed’s
I’ve been in recovery for a while it is difficult. I downloaded this app to help coping, it slightly helped. But I did an assessment test where I put in my weight and height, and how I felt about my body and how that effected me. (a lot) But it tells me I’m fine and i’m taking good care of myself because I am a healthy weight. I put in all the same answers and changed my weight to be a bit less and it tells me I may have anorexia. I have anorexia whether or not my body is this weight or that. I found it really triggering. Seeing as I have worked so hard to get to a healthy weight. But I still struggle so much with the thoughts. But this made me feel as though my struggle isn’t valid. Because apparently anorexia is only when you are under a certain weight.

Great at Meal Logging!
Love the app! Wish that when it exported, it did one sheet per day.
It seems helpful but
As some one who suffers from anorexia it says that I’m in good shape even though I said (TW) that I have no periods and daily use of laxatives, but apparently it’s fine because my bmi isn’t low enough
