The BEST Digital Language Resource!

I’ve tried about every language app out there and this is the best for the following reasons:
1) Completely free with no unlocking of “premium subscription” needed.
2) Doesn’t require looking at the screen. I can listen without wasting more time glued to my phone.
3) Real people speaking as opposed to robotic AI or only text.
4) Teaches thought processes as opposed to forcing me to memorize grammar and vocabulary.
5) Less pressure. All lessons are available from the start, so I can skip or listen again. I can also easily access them all in one place.
6) Fun. It doesn’t need fancy graphics or a system for a “streak” to keep me motivated. Learning on this app is so easy that it doesn’t feel like a chore.

Add a Unmark as Finished button

I’m still quite new to the app but so far I’ve already learned certain things I never understood about the language I’m learning. I like the way they teach. The only thing I’d say to make this better is to add an “unmark” button. Because sometimes I accidentally click a lesson and it counts it as listened when I haven’t yet played it so I get lost as to which lesson i am on. Besides that it is good.

can’t believe it’s free !

I love the courses. They are enjoyable and it feels like I’m take into a conversation with a friend. Hopefully they will add Complete French course soon ! I appreciate the the high quality content but also the minimalist app. So thankful for this 🌟

Brilliant and simple

This app is soooo basic yet it’s this best language learning app I’ve used. With this app you can ACTUALLY learn how to form and comprehend the language your learning. (This style of learning isn’t for everyone maybe… but IT’S WORTH A TRY!!)

Make sure this isn’t the only app you’re using tho, use Duolingo or some other app for learning how to read and write… if that matters to you

Best Way To Learn Greek!

Language Transfer isn’t about vocabulary— get that elsewhere — instead it is about how the building blocks of the language fit together, explained through exercises and actual use. Sometimes I get frustrated that I am not fluent yet, then I remember I’ve only been studying for six weeks! But I’ve come further in those few weeks than I did studying other languages for years.

Incredible!!!

Great app, great methodology, great lessons. I’m in love with this entire project! I just have one request: would it be possible to add speed buffers to the app? Like changing the speed of the audio? Otherwise perfecto 💕💕💕

Best app for language learning!

Brilliant app! By far the best language app I’ve used so far. I’ve been using it to learn German. It is very useful as instead of just memorising phrases, you learn to form sentences yourself and slowly build up from there. It is also very good for showing you the small connections between languages which I feel has been very useful.

Genius

This is the most innovative way to learn a language I've ever encountered. And it works brilliantly! I've been studying Spanish for about 18 months, and I've learned a lot, but there were definitely some concepts that I struggled with... until now (MORE below). The app itself is as bare-bones as can be, but the learning experience is unmatched. This guy deserves not only my 5 stars, but like a Nobel in language or something. I'm def gonna donate -- but you don't have to. Unbelievably, this is totally free! ====================================MORE: The program I already completed was very traditional. There are 150 hour-long lessons. You listen to a dialogue, then get an explanation, then do lots of exercises. It's very thorough, but I end up feeling like I have to search my brain to remember things, and I lose confidence quickly. The Language Transfer method, by contrast, takes what I already know from English and gives me simple rules so I can quickly and easily *build* what I need when I need it. I also appreciate that there isn't a ton of vocabulary to memorize -- I can look something up when I need it. I probably wouldn't make this my *only* language-learning app, but I'd definitely recommend it as the best possible starting point.

Underhyped !!

Not memorization based like most apps, but actually teaches the concepts slowly and thoroughly like a traditional language course instead of focusing on vocabulary. Much more helpful for providing a learning foundation, especially if you're learning to travel, and the recorded lessons make everything easier to understand. Definitely would recommend using this first and then going back to a Duolingo-type app if you want to learn specific vocabulary.

This app stands out. *Updated review below*

I’ve been using Duolingo intensely for around 9 months, and I’m currently taking a Spanish course in school, and yet somehow this app seemingly makes all that seem like tedious work. It’s so fun, relaxing, and engaging, truly. You just listen to a man giving a woman a lesson, and pause when he asks questions (as if he was asking you) then you can compare your answers. The best part is the teacher. He has such deep knowledge of languages and his way of explaining is so concise yet still deliberate. An honestly outstanding app that I would recommend even to Intermediate speakers. ¡Esta aplicación es muy divertida y útil!

Updated review:
I now speak 5 languages, and still endorse Language Transfer to everyone I can as the first and best option there is.
