Best travel app ever!
I bought Andrew Dougherty’s Kauai Revealed book (for the second time, since my last trip was 5 years ago… his new edition just came out a couple months ago, and boy have things changed in those 5 years!). I read the book almost cover to cover, and was trying to remember tidbits, facts, and stories to tell my family as we were driving around the island. THEN I saw the ad in the back of the book for this app. At first the price felt a little steep, but because I like the writing in the book, and because there were so many good reviews, I went ahead with the purchase. Oh my goodness, what a good decision that was! My teens and spouse adored listening to Andrew pop on the car radio as we were going from here to there. We are now big fans of Shave Ice (with the ice cream bottom), and can confirm that the Hee Fat store and JoJo’s both have the best selection and flavor. Sooo good. Andrew is a good speaker and interesting to listen to; we actually learned a huge amount of island history just during our drives. Also cool was setting up a Hawaiian radio station on Pandora and listening to that in between the times Andrew would start talking. Finally, you absolutely must have an in-car charger for your phone, or your battery will be dead by afternoon and you won’t be able to take pics at your fun destination. My husband gave me a hard time for spending $13 on this app, but we both ended up loving it! It made the drive around the island so much more interesting and enjoyable. I highly recommend buying and using this app for your next trip to Kauai.Myacon

We used this app everyday. We were on vacation with our family and we all agree that this is amazing. Good and accurate details. The narrator was fun to listen to. We were able to listen to Hawaiian music and the app would stop the music and talk. Didn’t talk all the time. Just when needed. Great recommendations for food and sights. Well worth the price. Very very accurate information that was exceedingly helpful. We also had many rainy days, and this was perfect for driving and exploring in preparation for less rainy days. Great Value!
Bought this app to accompany my cherished “blue book” (Kauai Revealed). So glad we did, and only wished we had done the same for our prior week on Maui! It’s challenging to follow printed guides while on the road, so this GPS turn-by-turn audio guide was such a relief from the car sickness that I endured on Maui. Great tips along the way along with history tidbits made this a gem of an app.
Suggestion: add a section where one can go back and listen to key recordings again by title and or area. Would love to hear about the formation of waves again but no idea where that was.

You can hit a record again in drive mode too, but you may miss the next record if you do that. We do hope you come back to visit again soon. A hui ho.Love this App!
We have only been in Kauai for a few days and are already loving this app. We have been here 3 previous times and Andrew has now shown us all the hidden gems we have been missing. It felt like he could hear our conversations because suddenly he would answer our question. Very thankful to have this! Wish I could have this available to any place I travel. I would HIGHLY recommend all visitors to Kauai download this app. It was an absolutely wonderful driving tour which gave accurate recommendations and shared so much interesting history and local information. We LOVE these guides and used Maui’s as well. THANK YOU!!Ktkrame
Great App. Highly Recommend!!
We were so lucky to find this app. It literally made our trip!! We were here for 6 days and were able to almost tour the entire island. We came across places and spots we wouldn’t have known about if it wasn’t for Andrew. And the best part is that my kids really loved it. As soon as we got into the car, they asked to play Andrew :). We are a family of 5 and it felt like Andrew is the 6th member. We can’t wait to reveal other islands with Andrew.
