REALLY BAD
I loved season one and two of love island. But Season 5 IS REALLY BAD! as I play as the main character I am always truthful and faithful yet everyone I get with cheats on me people lie and bully you and you can’t defend yourself everything is expensive and cause a ridiculous amount of gyms in this season and the storyline is just pathetic everyone tries to get with you but no one chooses you who you truly want like Finn. I can’t believe Nicholas I thought he was a good guy and then he wanted me to go along and be sneaky to stay in the game and they betrayed you and lied and manipulated making it seem like it was your idea the storyline is just horrible all around you guys have failed going forward you guys need to do way better. The last thing is you have no way of earning gems at least in all the four seasons of love island you earned gems after completing each chapter and you have to pay for everything for the 5th season 🙄🤦🏽♀️Show lessJambergirl
Just not what it used to be
I have this season an honest try. I really, REALLY did. When everybody in social media was saying strictly negative things, I thought to myself “give them a chance to develop the story. Maybe it will get better.” Now we’re almost done with the season, and it didn’t get better. It got so much worse. After these most recent episodes, I literally felt sad. I used to love this game so much. I replayed season one and two over and over and over again. I always bought gems and tickets to get the most of the story. And now it’s just ruined. I was rooting for a redemption story with the ex in the villa. There isn’t one. I was rooting for a friends to lovers path with Finn. There is starting to be one but I’m genuinely concerned they’ll ruin that too. There is no friendship story line like there used to be. I honestly feel like the MC can’t trust anybody and that’s not what love island used to be. Please fusebox. Nobody lives for the abuse and bullying that is this season. DONT PLAY EX IN THE VILLA
The Bombshell season I enjoyed actually so they’re all good there. But omg no the new Ex in the Villa season has completely ruined it. Terrible characters, storyline, and choices. You have no impactful choices this season, any decision you make is ignored/contradicted and the storyline keeps pushing the same 2 people that nobody is interested in. You literally have no choice but to end up with the Ex in the beginning. Just save urself the trouble and play the older seasons instead.

unrecognisable as love island
This is a weird twisted version of the original two seasons (on the old renamed “Love Villa” app…) which actually understood what someone interested in a “love island game” would be looking for. The entire narrative is more concerned with pushing whatever awful character the writers seem to have decided is endgame than in letting any kind of story unfold, or allowing you to make any kind of meaningful choice, or have an opinion on literally anything. The “interactive” part of interactive fiction is woefully neglected. Bunch of useless choices that make basically no difference to the story or in how the (2-dimensional, ugly, and more or less interchangeable thanks to whole recycled scenes) characters react to your SUPPOSED main character (that characters more often than not aren’t even interested in… what a bombshell, am I right?). Underwhelming at best and genuinely infuriating/upsetting at worst, not worth a penny nor a minute of one’s valuable time. Do better or don’t bother.Show lesschttpn
Takes too long
This game is awful! It takes way to long for chapters and is a very expensive game to play because there’s always something costing diamonds and the clothes etc cost more compared to the other games. I loved the first love island game especially season 2 I can play that over and over. Whatever choice you made changed the story but not in love island ex in the villa no matter what choice you make it does change anything. Your character is constantly targeted by the other characters. You could refuse to kiss character or show interest but later in the game I guarantee it will be that you kissed that person because your choices don’t matter even when it’s a choice game. Also spending diamonds will make no difference to the game either. Terrible game, choices don’t matter
Have been playing this game for weeks thinking it would be better. News flash, it gets worse. The choices do not matter at AWL! You will tell these people that you do not like them and they will come back over and over. And when you tell people you don’t like someone they will not believe you. The game developers do not listen to you at all and the writing is just terrible. You get gaslit and whacked the whole time it’s very terrible and sad to see. Don’t get me started on the love interests, you don’t even get a set path and the game is almost over it is blasphemy. The people walk over the main character so much and it is tiring. I hope fusebox learns from this instead of faking reviews. Just terrible I would rate this a negative 478 stars out of 10. So disappointing.
I have been playing the love island games since season 1 was released. I have played all seasons, 1 & 2 many times because they were my favorite. Season 3 went downhill, 4 was worse and now season 5, ex in the villa is the WORST! The extreme lack of options is ridiculous. Some of the characters have distorted, weird attributes and aren’t attractive at all. Their hairstyles are awful, and some of their eyes and faces look distorted and out of proportion. Season 1 & 2 were 10-15 for most outfits. Now, the cost of gems for some outfits is between 10-70. Many of the outfits are ridiculous, over the top and hideous. Shoes are separate from the outfits, but you can’t even see them while playing. What is the point in spending gems on shoes if you can’t even see them? There is basically one route no matter what “choices” you make. They force the same characters on you whether you like them or not. There’s only a few more episodes left in the season and MC still hasn’t been in a good couple. This season has been extremely disappointing. I am hoping that the ending somehow makes up for it, sadly though I have a strong feeling it won’t. I use to buy gems on the original game. Longtime User Disappointed
I used to love this series so much. I started playing Love Island: The Game before the switch to the new app, when the second season was originally being released. It was my favorite game. I spent hundreds of dollars on gems and tickets to play through every single storyline. This new app, though, does not live up to its predecessor. It feels like the developer gave up on the idea of Love Island entirely. Where is the choice between love and money? Where are the challenges, the meaningful recouplings, the dates? Also, the newest season is TERRIBLE about consent. They literally have a character follow you around and harass you. It is uncomfortable and gross. I am so disappointed by what happened to this game. I had to stop playing a game that used to make me so happy. I hope y’all figure it out and turn this game around but at this point you’ve lost a lot of customers, including me.Show lessSammiBanani024
Greatly Disappointed. Hope new season redeems
The Ex season has potential. The art style of MC is pretty bad. Hate the face shape and face features. Like the piercing options. Love the body options too. Hairstyles also not poc friendly. No braids, Afro… etc. I hate how much the app tries to pander to kids instead of adults. This show is for adults. Stop trying to make this game so kid friendly its weird. SEASON 4. Wow after the finale this has been a huge disappointment of a season. Only slightly better then season 3 which was completely a friendship island. I don’t think I’ll play this again based one season 4. This is barely a Love Island game at this point. The ending was so terrible. Choices don’t matter. All LI have the same dialogue. Lesbian LI goes with a guy if you don’t pick them??? MC has a backbone only sometimes. So many recouplings, dumplings sucked. Couldn’t tell how many days passed. Way shorter than previous seasons but stretched to seem long. Terrible especially midway through to the end. Oliver gets so little time with MC. Kelly didn’t even matter but she’s advertised everywhere. Terrible game and terrible season. Don’t think I’ll be playing again, Fusebox doesn’t care about the readers or the game.Show lessxo.Luca
Disaster of a game
I would give 0 stars if I could. I used to love this game. Honestly it’s really beyond upsetting how this has turned out. I was super excited when they came out with season 4, and it turned out to be a HUGE disappointment. Then after that catastrophe of a season, they managed to hit a new low with season 5. This isn’t even an “interactive” story game anymore. Our choices don’t matter at all. Every week we give feedback on Twitter and fuse box has REFUSED to acknowledge any of our concerns. The volumes are super short, we wait a week for more garbage. They’re trying to charge us 70 gems for an outfit. MC is getting forced into couples and is honestly borderline verbally abused. “Ex in the villa” is so toxic and our ex is honestly a creep, will not take no for an answer. Maybe if you guys didn’t fire the old writing team you might have quality content. I’ve said this a million times: WE WILL BE HAPPY TO WAIT FOR A GOOD STORY LINE AND A QUALITY GAME.
