I have never fell in love with a podcast so fast as I did this one! Every episode is so well done. Their voices are so soothing. I started off with Apple Podcasts and hated the commercials. I found this app and IMMEDIATELY signed up for the top tier membership! WORTH EVERY PENNY! You get exclusive content, bonus episodes, enhanced app activity, get into merch drop first, discounts etc. I look forward to every episode! I’m new so I have a LOT to catch up on. You could listen to this from sun onto sun down and NEVER get board! It’s so amazing that they take the time that they do to bring light so so many cases that have been “forgotten” or “cold”. This community always works together to find information to help bring closure to loved ones who might not have had any. They also work with so many different charity’s. I’m so thankful I found this podcast and I look forward to every episode big or small. Be Weird Be Rude Stay Alive!
Got a subscription to the Crime Junkie Fan Club app for my birthday and I was like a kid on Christmas morning! I can’t say enough good things about the app and about the Crime Junkie podcast! I don’t do social media and there are very few shows, podcasts or events that you can have interaction with other listeners/viewers or presenters. This app allows me to post comments and read others’ comments as well as dm the Audiochuck team. The only issue I have with the app is that it won’t save my filters. For example, if I filter oldest to newest, then leave the app, when I open it the next time, I have to re-sort. I still give it a 5-star, though because it is my gateway to Ashley and Brit and the best true crime fans in the world!
I love Ashley and Brit’s podcast crime junkie (the deck and the deck investigates are also AMAZING). This podcast is the only true crime podcast I can listen to. I have tried other ones, but I always have to come back to crime junkie. This podcast is the best true crime podcast because it is victim-centered, kindness and compassion for the families and those affected, and it promotes change and ways to help. This podcast is not all about entertainment, but about creating real good out of traumatic and life altering situations. I have been a listener for about 5 years, and I will continue to listen and re-listen until they stop making content. Thank you Ashley and Brit for creating an amazing gift that creates real good and real change for the world, you are amazing!
I love crime junkie and when I learned they had their own app I was all for it!! I love the extra episodes and the updates on past cases. I really enjoy having the information right there in my hands when they reference a picture or map. They tell the stories in ways that show they truly care about the people involved, and finding answers.
The membership has bonuses that allow me to indulge in new episodes early, and extra content. I also enjoy the early access to the merch store!
The only thing that I don’t like is that it doesn’t show up as an app in CarPlay :-( so I either have to be logged into it before I plug in my phone or just listen to a recent episode through Apple Podcasts.
I love listening to Ashley’s and Brit’s take on all the cases. I never listened to podcasts in the past but once I started listening to crime junkie I had to become a part of the fan club because, I just couldn’t get enough. Now it’s become a part of my routine. I listen throughout my shift at work. I love the add free version and how there is access to the pictures it really helps with understanding the cases. It really helps that you can download the m episodes and hide the ones you’ve listened to. The app works well for me. Occasionally it logs me out but it’s nothing for me to log back in. Ashley and Brit are the best story tellers. I love crime junkie!
The Crime Junkie podcast fanclub is the ONE thing I pay for every month for myself as a single mama. I absolutely love it! Not only does it get me through my work days but it has also gotten me through a tough week with my kiddo. I love that I have all the wide released episodes and bonus content in one app. I also love that I can comment my thoughts on the episode and interact with other crime junkies straight in the app as I’m listening. All announcements are also posted in the app for easy access to everything in one spot. The development team and audiochuck staff members as a whole are amazing and prompt with answering emails if you have an issue. I emailed them a question and had an answer the same day! By far my favorite podcast and my favorite app. Thank you to Ashley, Brit and the entire Audiochuck team for all that you do and balance you bring to my life ❤️
The pros of listening to Crime Junkie via the app: - episode notes and photos are more easily available - relevant photos will automatically show up in the app while you’re listening (not in an annoying way it’s actually really helpful) - it’s easy to navigate - you can still get notifications with case updates even if you don’t have social media - connects you to other members of the community without giving up your privacy - the app is constantly improving and I’m sure will continue to do so The cons of listening to Crime Junkie via the app: - sometimes it can be a little slow - there are occasionally bugs, but they’re pretty easy to work around tbh Overall, it’s not perfect but I’d still give it five stars. It definitely enhances the experience of listening to the show and I would highly recommend downloading it if you’re subscribed.

Plus having the pictures pop up when they’re referenced is a HUGE selling point—I’m very much a visual person, and this saves me having to go through all the links to the show notes.
I will say there are still some minor bugs or features that could be improved; it would be awesome to have a search for key words instead of just episode titles, and the functionality of zooming in on pictures could be improved. Plus it’s a bit annoying when I’m logged out while driving through a dead zone!
But overall, I would recommend this app if this is your go-to podcast. No ads, all the bonus content, and access to discussion boards. Well done CJ!

I know everyone says this, but the way Ashley and Brit tell a story is so captivating and draws you in to the point where you feel like you are talking with your best friends!!! I think I started listening to Crime Junkie about six months after it started, and have since listened and re-listened to every episode. I have been able to share my obsession with the show with my Mother, husband, friends and coworkers.
There are plenty of true crime podcasts available these days, but I haven’t found one that compares. The focus is always on the victims and how we all can make a positive impact on our society.
I love this podcast and have been a fan club member for years but this app has been glitchy from the start. Playback will often not function properly (pressing play/pause doesn't work, 15 second rewind doesn't work, etc) and it often restarts me at the beginning of an episode rather than saving my place.
Most recently the issue I've had is getting logged out at random. Several times this has happened when I have downloaded an episode or two ahead of time for when I don't have service, on a road trip and on a plane. Both instances it logged me out and wouldn't let me log in again without internet. This one is especially frustrating, hoping there's a way to fix log outs and/or make it so you don't need internet to log in.
