Like Dec 2023. I literally binged and now I have the app, I’m re-binging and I get to look at the pics.. I love the visuals 😍

Content is fantastic, app needs an overhaul
I love everything CJ and am an avid listener! The app can only be used with cell service/internet connection which defeats the purpose of downloading episodes! At times, it randomly glitches out during an episode and has to be restarted, which is frustrating when listening to older episodes.
Good but not perfect
Really good app and great concept to have all the photos and everything cycle through in one place. I use it a lot. However, it’s not perfect, it has some bugs. The main one right now is that the app crashes and you have to force close and reopen at 8am BST if you happen to be listening in the app at that time.

Love the podcast, hate the app
I’ve been listening to Crime Junkie for the last three years. I absolutely love the podcast, but the app on the other hand… not so much. The app constantly crashes and logs me out in the middle of listening to episodes (especially when listening to downloaded podcasts offline, which essentially renders the app useless as you can’t log back in until you’re back online).

Major issues
I’ve had it for two days and I’ve been kicked out 4-5 times. It signs you out and does not save your place or even what podcast you were listening to. Also it doesn’t have add to que??? So it makes it very hard to listen in the car. The counter clock one wants to play from the end to the beginning so you have to go and press play on each episode as the other one ends. Not very handy when you listen on your commute.

Excellent fan club/app!
This app is so sleek, much better than Patreon in my opinion. Bonus points to the developers for being so responsive (there’s a direct message feature which gets you in touch super fast) as they helped me navigate and find something specific.
Lack of features - please update!
Patreon was better, tbh. 🥲 I use this app and Spotify, so it’s hard to discern over which episodes are extras for the members and which are the regular ones. I can see that they label “mini episodes,” “full episodes,” but it would be nice to see “membership extra” or something for the extra full length episode? Also a filter in the app to filter through the episodes would be nice, like not just to filter played and resumed, but to filter “mini” “full” and “member extra” episodes.
Currently the app is difficult to navigate. Hoping for an update soon!

So binge-worthy!
I’m trying the Crime Junkie app during the free trial period this summer. (Thank you, Ashley & Brit! I feel like we’re all friends.) I’ve listened to the podcast for years, but this app takes it so much further! As you listen, pictures come up when discussed, so you know exactly whom or where they’re talking about when. And I haven’t explored the interactive community much yet, but I’m looking forward to it. What I really love about these two amazing hosts is that they really care about the victims and their families and advocate for them in ways we can emulate. The fascinating storytelling techniques with all the twisty stories are addictive. I’m often sad and angry when I listen, but these are important to be told so we can be aware of the Crime Junkie rules and signs of abuse. It’s also super helpful that they cover cases that aren’t widely known. EVERYONE deserves to be searched for and honored and provided justice!

Please fix the app!
I love you guys and I love Crime junkie and the extra episodes are great but it skips kicks me out of the podcasts and logs me out so often! It seems like these have been long term problems and it would really be great to see them fixed.

Great content, terrible app
Girls PLEEEAAASSEE fix this, anytime my wifi network changed or I switch to data or turn it off completely, the app logs me out entirely even though I downloaded the episode to watch offline, it’s even worse because I intended to listen to these on the subway like I do on Spotify, but it wont last. I wish we could get the membership through Spotify because it’s just not worth it if I can’t listen to them! Not to mention it doesn’t save where I was in the episode 😭
