Disappointing connection issues
Since installing it and using the VPN, I am unable to access the Internet or have any of my apps connect online. My workaround is to have to go to airplane mode to reestablish the connection and then close out of the app and open the app. This has been my experience for YouTube, Safari, email clients, Coinbase, any app that requires an online connection.
Any chance for a more stable connection in the future? I love the idea and want to keep using the service but these issues are debilitating to daily use.Show less[d@niel]
Open and Close
Long time user of Accountable2You. Was excited for this update. Definitely better functions better overall then previous version. However, I have constant issues with things loading. Support was really responsive and said the technology adjust settings as apps are used. Hasn’t been my experience. I sometimes have to close apps 3-4 times before they will load. Usually once they get working no problem until next time, but I don’t really want to close and reload Prime Video, YouTube, Safari, etc…multiple times just to use them.Show lessBobbyGA
So glitchy and internet pages or links won’t load
Before the update, the app was a bit glitchy with podcasts. I had to close the podcast page 2-4 times to get it to start. Now since the update, it’s gotten so much worse. I have to close the podcast page 5-10 times before I can get it to play. I *sometimes* have to exit pages on chrome 5-10 times to get a page to load. And trying to click a link from somewhere can take long, I need to exit and click in again. I will say that on rare occasions all does work smoothly. Besides the recent glitching, I’ve been happy with the service and will continue to pay for it. I like it better than the competitors for what they offer. I appreciate that it’s compatible with safari and you don’t have to use a special browser. It works great on desktop, but for the iPhone and iPad it’s been frustratingly glitchy for me. I was trying to access ESPN on the app via youtubeTV but the VPN interfered. I removed the VPN and the errors stopped. They claimed this was a better VPN than before but the same issuesbmanarm15
Still kills my phone
Gave Accountable2You for iOS a second chance with their new update (previous version unusable). It will monitor fine but significantly slows down browsing and apps like Spotify. Basically I can’t listen to music while I drive with it. It must be difficult to make an effective iOS monitor because their other products work great. Great program, great price, great people!
As a youth pastor this app not only helps me stay pure but as been so good for my youth as we have made it available to them. They do such a great job at monitoring and send texts out super quick with the instant text alert.2ooah2

What drew me to this software was being able to have accountability without needing to use some 3rd party web browser and stuff. The VPN-based monitoring is a good system for that, but there are a few little bugs I’ve experienced that if fixed, would make this 5/5 stars for sure:
- my banking app no longer works due to an “unsecured network”, I think it detects the VPN and blocks out for security reasons
- Spotify still allows me to play songs in my library and stream albums, but playlists and radio stations are all greyed out and unavailable
- often when picking up my phone after it sitting with the screen locked for a long time, the VPN is disconnected and takes quite a few seconds before reconnecting me to the internet.
Again, pretty minor inconveniences and this app/system seems to work much better than others. The Mac app works very well tooShow lessRenzo13320
