  • Fun for kids!

It was so much fun for the kids to draw out a video game and then be able to play it. I will say it is aimed more towards older kids… my 7 & 9 year old had some trouble drawing to scale which we were able to fix in the app. The app itself is pretty user friendly. Some more detail on the “power ups” button would be helpful. It was a little confusing on editing the game you created. We were able to figure it out after playing around with it for a little bit.

  • What an innovative creation!

Wow. We just had a group of people over to try out PIxicade, and every single person from kids to adults loved it. It's really easy: you draw, you turn it into a game, and then if the game doesn't work like it should...you figure out how to fix it. The instructions in the box are very simple to follow, and walk you through the basics step by step. The app itself is very intuitive and easy to figure out. The options are way more than I would have ever thought. You can get the markers anywhere, but that's actually nice, because as long as I have "plays" left to use, I can keep using this app for quite some time. EVERYBODY was drawing and tweaking, and most of all, smiling. I love this, highly recommend it, and can't wait to keep using it at home and work!

  • Challenging yet Fun

I received 2 Pixicade Kits to demo and review. Overall the concept is great and encourages kids to draw and troubleshoot. There is a learning curve with this product and app but once you to start using the app it is easy to grasp. I think the prime age range for this app is 8-13. My daughter loves the app and the challenge of creating a game and testing to see if it works. I was impressed watching her and her friends edit their game to make it work.

  • Fun, Educational, and interactive

The app is awesome. Even without drawing your own, there are hundreds of games on the app with the opportunity for multiple players. It says 6+ with assistance but I think it was easier for them to play ready made games. My 9+ was able to immediately draw functional games. 10/10 recommend
  • Better with experimentation

The game in theory is really cool however there are still some kinks. They say “draw snap play” but it’s really like… draw snap play edit play edit play edit play until you can get it right. The game detects wrong colors a lot and fixing that would greatly improve our experience. Although that is the only complaint I have. The kids loved it and I think some of the adults we shared this with loved it even more. There is way more options to this game then I could have imagined but I think it will definitely take some practice to use all the tools given. I also like that the only in app purchases are for more games and parental consent to share instead of making players pay by the power up or per game. I would recommend this app but with the knowledge that it will take a few times to get it right!

  • Pixicade

I received two game sets to review. I was excited for my kids to try this. It looked like something that would allow them to be creative and learn at the same time. The kids loved seeing their artwork come to life. They thought it was so cool! The directions are easy to follow. Make sure you use the correct marker for each part of your game. I do think it is not meant for little kids, I’d say ages 6 and up. The kids may need adult help even then.

  • Why do they make you pay

This app is pretty good you can play games other people create but you have to PAY 35 dollars for you to create your own games I thought it was for FREE download it and nope 👎 had to pay money I would really appreciate if you could lower the price to 5$ I hope you read this other wise this app is the best and if you fix the money thing I give it five stars ⭐️ hope you liked the review have a good day

  • Amazing, educational, fun!

My kids absolutely loved this!! They instantly started drawing out game designs and challenged each other to beat them. My 7 year old and 14 year old both have so much fun with this app and their Pixicade books - so it’s great for all ages! I love that it occupies them for a long time without getting boring and that they are using their creativity and imagination as well as learning about STEM, all while doing something fun! The challenges and games they’ve created have blown me away! Highly recommended!
Make sure to purchase the Pixicade Mobile Game Maker Kit for full instructions, 3 books of challenges/ideas/pre-made games, markets and the QR codes which will give you access to create over 800 games in the app.

  • Fun!

First I want to say that I received two free boxes as a promotion. We held a little party for kids aging 7-13. (With three 16 yr olds to help!) The product itself was a bigger hit with our younger guest. They loved being able to create their own games and challenge their friends. As a parent I liked the fact that it took the kids’ creativity to a new level. We had a little trouble with set up on one of our devices but it went so smoothly after that. I would highly recommend to anyone with children who are artist or gamers. It really is a game changer to stimulate their minds. The outcomes of each game created are endless.

  • So much fun! Make your own video games!

This is seriously so much fun! I love the creativity it lets the kids have. I also love that it is not too difficult for them to use. It’s something they can take and play and it’s fun and not frustrating for them to figure out. It lets the create and actually play their very own games. It’s super fun and really cool!
