Brilliant app
I just love this app. Nothing beats actually going to the National to experience live theatre, but for those of us who don’t live in or near London this enables us to see great productions that we would otherwise miss out on.
Personally, it’s opened my mind to shows that I wouldn’t have thought were my cup of tea, and as a consequence I go to see more local theatre too.
Started watching on this app during Covid, when theatres were closed, and here we are still using it. I wouldn’t be without it.Show lessChunkyAl

OMG legal ecstasy
I feel as if I’ve died and gone to heaven. There are so many world class productions that if we’re not for The National making them available to watch online, the world would have been a darker place. I’m having to drip feed a play day for fear that I would become vitamin D deficient. Yes it is not as good as going to the theatre but it’s a close second. I can’t believe I get to see all this theatre anywhere I go. I have amazing shows in my pocket, in my living room, on the plane, anywhere!! Fantastic production! The acting and singing was top notch, and the filming of the play was very professional. Nicola Walker’s sublime performance was second to none. Her portrayal of the courage, determination, and unwavering purpose of Miss Moffatt was communicated throughout the play sometimes with very few words.
