  • This has saved me in Lockdown

This is the best Christmas present I ever had - my daughter an acting student at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama ( sorry proud mum here )bought me 4 months viewing .
I was absolutely glued to Yerma - loved Mosquitoes with the two Olivia’s and found Julie so intense I had to have a long walk afterwards. The first play I watched was Medea and that just set the standard for everything else I have seen it too drew me in on a Saturday in January when in need of some pure escape from the rain and restrictions.

I am just about to watch Angels in America - thinking that I need to prepare packed lunches for this weekends viewing .

Thank you for letting people see theatre that is so rich and full of talent it has reminded me of how important it is and when we can go to theatres again I will appreciate sitting in a seat next to people I don’t know sharing something that is so special I won’t even think twice about restricted view or sitting behind some one who is so much taller than me - it will be LIVE THEATRE !

I have donated and will again as I see your work and art as vital to the restoration and recovery of our souls after Covid has gone ( and during actually) - so thank you NT and thanks to my daughter for this present .
Stay safe all and see you soon xxxx

  • Phaedra 2009

Very operatic. Fabulous vocal work. Surprised that the physicality of much of the cast was so limited. Mirren was very expressive with her body of course but I thought the male & female ingenues needed to liven up from the neck down ( minus the arms flapping). Sensational scenery. Lighting was inconsistent. Many times a speaker was in the dark for too long. Overall, a beautiful production that could have used more physical energy.

  • Angels in America parts 1 & 2

Absolutely brilliant! It was almost like sitting in the theatre. Love my Xmas present of a subscription to National Theatre home.
  • Treasure

As someone who loves British theater but can’t get to London nearly enough (especially now), this app is heaven sent. I feel like I can study and enjoy some of the best plays, performances, direction and design in the world. I miss live theater so much, and this app helps dull that ache and replace it with an even deeper appreciation of great theater.

  • Limited content

I have always love seeing NTL in the movie theatre and so was very excited to see an At Home app. That being said, the library of Congress tent very limited for the price and I find the most choices are very heavy viewing and so not to my taste ex..Chekhov, Greek tragedies etc... and not reflecting more recently performed plays
I was also disappointed to find out that War Horse was only released in England and not available to Canada

  • What a treat!

Having just watched the scintillating production of Yerma I am left with a huge sense of privilege that I have been able to bring this production into my home to share with my family. Now living outside London, to be able to access the productions we would once have regularly visited when we we lived in the capital is fantastic. I so hope the National continue this service well beyond ‘lockdown’ as I will definitely subscribe. Thank you!

  • Excellent app!

Easy to use, great as a somebody in Australia to have access to the NT at home. Looking forward to more additions of productions. My kids love the children’s productions too.
  • Super app!

I really like it, transports us directly to the theatre during a time when we need it most.
  • So good

When I heard that @home was available, I knew it would have to be on my Christmas List.
    Loving my theatre time.❤️❤️❤️
  • What a treat!

As an actor, the pandemic has shut me off from my work and my community. National Theatre at home is a lifeline of sorts, a connection to live performance beautifully rendered in these live recordings of their productions. I’m so grateful.
