  • How do you expect us to watch only in phones or ipads

Theres is an issue with channels like this and criterion channel , i do believe that the point of making this app is to make a play accesible but through a phone this is not a way. Ive been able to see in cinemas your plays , and going from that to an ipad or phone is horrendous, why cant we broadcast it on our private tvs and have the experience. This should also be displayed as a message before paying the subscription , because people are expecting to seat down on there couches and enjoy theater, not pay and THEN realize you cant play content.

  • Unfortunately does not deliver content and they choose to not be in contact

    Great theater speaks to humanity.
We witness events that propel us into goodness, kindness, service to the greater good. Perhaps some gloat in their swollen evil, and relate and identify to villains as a justification. In any case, theater helps us navigate the pitfalls of life, play and entertain through the good the bad and the ugly.

It breaks my heart when a company as the National Theater reduces itself to one more platform of greed and ego. Is a tragedy.

At very least, provide a genuine, true opportunity for customers to contact the NT in case they have trouble accessing the content you promised that they paid for. Not politics. Not egos. Not rhetoric. Not run around. Not a waste of people’s time.

How shall i reliably find a point of contact to solve the problem of having no access to content? Or, when the login page fails again, and the robot running the program does not send links to reset a password, as the correct one does not work, how then shall we reset it in real time, without a delay of days? Or not at all?

Thanks to whomever sincerely cares about people and our shared humanity. Thanks to those who understand and cherish humility and service.

    Thank you

  • Ntathome

This is amazing! I only wish there was an easier search function for the plays.
  • Just what I always wanted!

I caught plays in theatres whenever I could but the nearest theatre was 45 minutes away. Now I can see amazing plays and a bigger selection from the comfort of home. So happ for National Theatre’s app.
  • Outstanding

I wanted NT Live to do this for years....
Finally it is here. Superb theatre.
  • I’m so grateful that this app exists!

I love London theatre and was incredibly excited about the free broadcasts that were done during the pandemic. Having these plays available on demand puts me over the moon.

My one ask is less camera work, more recordings done as the plays were directed-Just give me the equivalent of a great seat, as the joy of theatre is enjoying the staging, set design- all of the things that make it theatre and not film. Imagine losing all of the magic that made a play like the Lehman Brothers Trilogy incredible. Not the app’s issue but I hope they can convey the feedback to the NT.

  • Live theatre

I am missing live theatre like my own heart beat but until we can meet in-person this the next best thing.
  • Not enough titles

I love the productions but I have a monthly subscription and I’ve watched nearly everything in less than a month. I’d like to buy or rent I want my Hat back to show to my school students but I can’t figure out how. I asked for this subscription expressly to watch the NTA Midsummer’s Night Dream but it isn’t offered. I love the productions but the subscription itself hasn’t been wonderful.

  • Lockdown sanity saver

I love the theatre but often felt out of place when I went to one. The price of tickets and the somewhat elitist attitudes of some theatre goers made it feel like it was not for the likes of me.
Being able to watch these performances from the comfort of my own home has been wonderful. Finally I get to see plays that were beyond my reach. I only wish there were a few more “family friendly” plays because my children are not quite old enough for the majority of these. (They loved war horse but the only other show they have been able to watch was the panto)
