The app provides live groupinars to attend, journal entries for you to keep on your own or discuss with your counselor, and constant communication with whoever you're paired up with. I love it already. I chose the one video chat a month and the 24/7 chat option.. Which isn’t live but seems fast depending your therapists schedule.. Also good customer support and crisp and organized app. Better than lemonade and no insurance required.. :)Just4cheri
Not great.
I used this for 1 week. I really can’t see this form of therapy being helpful. It’s like therapy via text message. Everything lacks intonation. It’s just a waste of time. The person I was matched with never set up any video sessions.. Maybe I was supposed to ask, I don’t know. One positive thing is that the customer care is really responsive for when you want to cancel. Good luck all.Kyles ipad12345678901

Hello, Kyle. Thanks for sharing your feedback. This kind of therapy really depends on your preferences, as some clients prefer just simple texting with their counselor. As for the videos, if you have any in your package you can inform the counselor about the convenient time for you to set up the video call. I'd like to start off by saying Calmerry had very kind, quick, and attentive customer service. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The app is extremely buggy and underdeveloped with very little features. Even typing in the chat window is difficult and glitchy.
They showed me my options for therapists by sending me screenshots (no web page of their own to browse through providers, some of which have no results when you try to google them.)
I found a therapist I liked but unfortunately, either my therapist or Calmerry was dishonest with me. Calmerry promised daily responses from my therapist (except on his 2 days off a week). He went a full week without responding, (and I still got charged since I was on the weekly plan) so I reached out to Calmerry and they said they had no idea why he stopped responding. I reached out to my therapist via email and he said Calmerry had told him I no longer wanted him as my therapist and prevented him from messaging me anymore. They never notified me of this, and for a whole week I messaged him and got no responses at all, not knowing he couldn't see my messages anymore. He said he wanted to leave Calmerry but there was no link for therapists to leave. I was his first and only patient on the app.
After this incident, my therapist AND Calmerry told me they are no longer working together. Now I have to switch therapists and start all over again because I can't afford my therapist's sessions at his private practice.
Thankfully Calmerry gave me a full refund and were very nice about it all, but I unfortunately can't recommend this app or its therapists.sixcollars
