  • Partner

If my bridge partner was that stupid in real life i would give up bridge!
  • Partner never returns lead!

This app is ok for beginner practice and passing the time, but it doesn't follow standard bridge rules. Basics such as returning partners lead (they aren’t void) are not followed. I have 2/1 selected as my system and this app ignores basics of this system too. Won’t replace Bridge Baron or Bridge Base. Please teach your AI the proper 2/1 method. 2C response to 2D doesn’t mean I have clubs. It means I have. Opening points.

  • Not what anyone would expect from conventional bridge

It seems that the program is readjusting hands to fit opponents to win. My North partner is opening a bid with 5-6 points on hand (after outing the cards on the table). The developers responded to my first comment that I should provide an example to them with pictures. If developers do not know how to play bridge why do they get involved? The program should be first checked by the developer publishing it and not getting the users to solve the issues. Get to work guys, there is really a lot to do! Check it out yourselves and stop using AI for your answers to common problems. Take pride and responsibility for your work!

Thank you for your review. The AI can be aggressive with preempts. Especially when the vulnerability is favorable. When you see a case where you think there is an error, please send us the hand with Menu - Share Hand to support@neuralplay.com. We are working on improvements.
  • board number and bid opener

After I downloaded a PBN file with a sequence of deals and tried to play them, I found that the North is the Opener for ALL boards, regardless of the board number and the vulnerability is always the same! This is an annoying error of your not so bad app!
  • Great program

Love playing bridge. Wish there was a play-people-on-the-internet feature. Just wanted to report an obscure bug. When playing duplicate at level 4, and after a 5heart bid from North following Blackwood from a hand with 2 aces… the program suggests a 6 heart response because it incorrectly counts the number of aces as 3 instead 4. 5 hearts means the North hand has 2 aces,. So, South’s 2 plus North’s 2 is 4 aces which the suggestion feature incorrectly counts. This has happened to me twice, which should tell you how much I like the program. A lot! But still a bug to fix.

Glad to hear you are enjoying NeuralPlay Bridge. Thank you for your review. We will work on a fix for this Blackwood issue. In the future, when you find an issue, you may prefer to send us an email with the hand and bidding. You can do this with the Menu - Share Hand option. This will also help us reproduce some obscure issues. Please send email to support@neuralplay.com.
  • More doc would be helpful

I wish there were more documentation on their website to explain the features, but I do like this app. I particularly like the autobid feature, which makes it possible to focus just on playing the hand, without worrying about the bidding.

Often times I see that the AI would have gotten a better score than I did, but I can’t find a way to see how the AI would have played it. The app does show an alternative solution, but it often times doesn’t have as high a score as the AI made. And the alternative solution often time has a different lead!

Glad to hear you are enjoying NeuralPlay Bridge. Thank you for your review. Right, we are working improving the way to show the ‘if AI played’ result. Currently, you can tap on the text ‘if AI played’ and it will show you how the AI would have played the contract. The lead should be the same if an AI is leading, but may be different when the AI chooses a lead different from what you led. You can also use Play Review to see the double dummy solution from the lead from play or from the best lead case. You may step to a current point in the hand and then use Play from Here to continue play from this point. From this point, Menu - Autoplay Hand can be used to watch the AI Play. This may be the easiest way to watch how the AI would have played the hand from a certain point in the play.
  • It’s a good app for what I wanted

New to bridge and it’s very easy to learn playing this the way I want to learn. Seeing a computer beat me, bid differently, or take tricks a different way is helpful. Also - seeing what bids generally mean is helpful too.

  • Lineup of cards.

It is confusing for me when I’m about to play a hand. The Trump is not moved to the left hand side and my hand is not lined up with the dummies hand. It becomes confusing and hard to apply. Please make that change.
  • By far my favorite Bridge app!

I am a fairly new bridge player, and this app is really helping me to advance my skills. You can select the player level for your opponent, obtain hints automatically or when asked or never, and you can replay hands and also go back to previous moves to correct them, or understand the meaning of various bids.

Thanks to the creators for putting out such a wonderful app!

  • Excellent Bridge Game

NeuralPlay Bridge has been steadily improving, and now plays a strong game on level 6. Wide variety of options including duplicate play. Very clean, uncluttered interface, with jumbo card selection for those of us who are visually impaired. Plays at lightning speed, so you can get quite in a few duplicate hands played in a relatively short time. Very reasonable cost. Highly recommended.
