Good for points and teams

As a player for the hawks, I find it very useful as I know who is the top scorer and it also helps me know what division I had made. It also it helps me with all of my stats and I could see what I have to I prove on. So as a player I rate this app an amazing 5 stars.

Garbage app - can’t even show fouls in game

This app is absolute garbage and I’m amazed that organisations are forcing people to use this atrocity. The game scoring sheet app that is linked as part of their “system” can’t even tell you how many personal fouls someone is on. The interface looks like it was designed by a 10 year old. Stay as far away as you can and if your organisation or association is looking at using Basketball Connect, do everything you can to talk them out of it.

Ladder Is Horrible (For Starters)

How long does it take to make it so that when you press on a team name it takes you to the team roster and stats. It just does nothing so you need to exit the view, hunt down the team you want to look at and then do the whole process back and forth. No views link to each other, you basically need to head back to the main menu and start drilling down again from there.
Don’t just read the reviews, get a developer to spend literally one day getting that functionality working.

Utterly Useless App – Can’t Even Log In!

If you’re looking for an app that consistently fails at the most basic functions, Basketball Connect is the one for you. The login process is a nightmare. I tried multiple times, and every single attempt ended in frustration. When I realized I’d forgotten my password, I thought, “No problem, I’ll just reset it.” But even that doesn’t work!

The password reset feature is broken beyond belief – it either doesn’t send a reset email or sends you on a loop back to the login screen without actually resetting anything. After days of trying, I still can’t access the app. What’s the point of an app if you can’t even log in?

Basketball Connect is a complete waste of time. The developers need to fix the basics before promoting this app as useful. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere – this app is the epitome of uselessness.

Worst App ever

This is the app with the most bugs and issues across user interface and all around operation I’ve ever dealt with. It’s frustrating and useless in pretty Much every department. I can’t even view draws week-to-week without logging out and back in again. Whoever decided that Basketball Queensland had to use this piece of garbage should have to pay all the over the top service charges players get stung with.

Meh

This app would be good if it functioned as promised. Every week, at least one game doesn’t load and player stats often revert back to a previous competition and then you can’t load the current comp. This app is a bit laggy. Very frustrating.

Worst platform

I have read every review and I would have to say 90% are complaining about basic functionality.
As an administrator of a basketball competition, the back end is even worse.
It’s time to start researching the other apps, Gameday and PlayHQ and pick apart the best of the best and start again. BC needs to start listening to their clients (or as you state your “partners”) be better - do better.

Bug fix required

Hi, the latest update has resulted in not being able to switch competitions when viewing players stats in the profile section of the app. I have 3 competitions listed for my kids and used to be able to switch between them, now they all default to one of the competitions. I deleted the app and reloaded but it is still the same.

Can I suggest an improvement?

The app seems to work fine for what I need. The issue I have though is the way multiple teams are listed. If a club has the same team name over multiple age groups, you can’t tell which age group to choose as they’re all identically listed. Eg for age groups 14, 16, 18 years with the same team name all show as:

Team A

There is no way to determine which team is for which age group, which makes it very hard when there are multiple kids or multiple age groups being played in our family. It would be great if the menu showed the age group as a prefix perhaps. Eg

U14 Team A
U16 Team A
U18 Team A

Hi Kazzaradi, Thank you very much for the feedback. I am please to let you know we have made this as an update. Clubs will now need to include the DIV/Grade to differentiate the teams.

Glitchy and not useful

The app is not intuitive and often glitches. Teams that are followed are suddenly lost and replaced with previously followed teams. Player stats are often not available despite the game play by play appearing. The ordering of games is done by round number rather than game date so rescheduled games appear first which is annoying. It’s not easy to follow multiple teams within the same pool. Notifications come through for game changes but then I can never seem to find the message in app.
