  • Doesn’t work

Essentially it doesn't work as advertised. Received my Freedrum 2 kit, set it up with the app. It doesn’t register hits like a drum kit would . Tried multiple times to calibrate and register the sticks and leg attachments. Snare hits won’t register, playing high hat and snare at the same time doesn’t work, especially not with the bass drum.

  • Don’t waste your money

After two years of waiting and dozens of unanswered emails from this company, I finally got my Freedrum 2 kit and, much like all the other customers on their social media accounts, it simply doesn’t work. Impossible to calibrate properly, low rent app, basically worthless waste of $200. And the company has zero support in place so any complains and emails will likely continue to go unanswered. I really regret buying these and I can’t recommend anyone support this terrible company.

  • Garbage

I waited years for the kickstarter to ship. Finally got the sticks and nothing works. Well that is not exactly true, if you only want a snare you are good. But kick drum, symbol, hi-hat? Nope nothing. Don’t waste your time or money.

  • Getting better!

They finally released some documentation online. Not perfect, but there’s real tangible effort.
The sticks stay connected, but kind of fly around wildly. Here’s hoping!

  • Disappointed

It has been over a month now since I’ve gotten the sticks and the app updates still don’t get it to work. I’ve emailed support and its been two weeks and still no response from them either. Waste of $200.

  • Works on any electronic drumkit

The app is okay, it works on my generic electronic drumkit, but I still had to select a branding kit (eg: Alexis Nitro) which is not a big deal, but they should have a “generic” for who doesn’t have a famous brand kit.

I like that the app has both waterfalls game to learn to play the drums, and in addition to that, you can play with the sight reading notation, perfect to practice playing and reading music.

I wish they didn’t force me to pass before play the other levels. It’s quite annoying to force me to play 2-3 variations of the same song.

I had a few issues with performance on the MacBook, sometimes the cursor doesn’t match the sound of the metronome and the song, I didn’t play much on the iPad because the music notation is quite small, and I was mixing the ride and cymbal a lot.

They could also have a session on how to read the notation.

The levels are quite hard for beginners, even on the begging course. They expect someone that had learned the basic beats.

It’s a cool app with some area for improvements. I didn’t know I could play on any drumkit until I saw the Alejandro video.

Hi Leo, Thank you so much for sharing your feedback with us—it's incredibly valuable! We've taken your input to heart, and many of the things you mentioned have been addressed in our latest updates. We're excited to announce that we're now on version 1.5. We'd like to know which electronic drum kit you're using so we can add it to our supported list. Regarding the three different versions of songs, they're designed to guide you step by step, building up skills gradually. This way, you can reach your learning goals without the pressure of tackling an entirely new song at each step. If you have any more thoughts or if there's anything else you'd like to share, feel free to reach out to us at support@freedrum.rocks.
  • Dishonest developer

Signed up for the $ 2 trial on the web site using my credit card but the app didn’t work with my kit . So tried to cancel my subscription and found there is no way to do so , emailed support 5 times over a few weeks never got a answer . Tried removing my payment details and deleted my account but they still continued to take payments . So be very careful these are not people to trust .

  • An expensive mistake

After waiting over a year to get my product, which I understand because of the pandemic and supply chain issues, it finally arrived. Initial exam of the product was well received, real sticks along with the leg foot sensors, I was excited to get it setup.

After downloading the app, that’s where I went from excited to frustrated. After following setup instructions to the tee, the sensors would not pair with Bluetooth.

I tried on my iPhone 12 and on my laptop and nothing…..nada…..zip zero zilch. $250 for a pair of worthless drum sticks…….reached out to them for a fix and not a peep. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Still waiting on the response……….

  • Trying to give it a fair shot

Day 2 with the kit and still having a hard time reliably connecting to the iPhone app. Tutorial ‘jam’ works fine, but things crash after that. Need to restart phone and hardware after each freeze.
