Brilliant! Feedback for Devs below!
A very addictive and mentally nourishing word game. I love it.
A couple of quality of life improvement suggestions for the devs that would be amazing if implemented :
1.) There should be a bonus finishing the game with a clear board having used all tiles.
2.) You should be able to make a final word with FIN. It would be the cherry on the cake.
3.) There definitely needs to be a ‘Are you sure you want to FIN?’ message before the game ends. I have spent an hour crafting the perfect board, only to stupidly place FIN without cashing in my combo and ending the game with a score of 0. Utterly tragic.
4.) Better explanation for the points system / points values. E.g. two different 9 letter words with 2.0 x bonus score slightly different amount of points.
Thanks devs!

I wanted to love it
It’s a great concept but there a few main flaws. The first is that at no point does it tell you how it scores the game which makes it hard to be strategic or improve. The other is that the “turn” button is really hard to use while getting the tile in the right place. It says in the tutorial you can press down or something but I can’t figure that out either. It’s going to be a great game but it needs some TLC.

Good game with room for more
Art style is fantastic and the mechanics offer a decent amount of variation. It’s a relatively simple game though; because letters are removed instantly when you submit a word, there’s no incentive to create words in multiple directions. It would be cool (and challenging) if there was a “cross” mode, where you can highlight words vertically AND horizontally using the same letters, then submit them all at once.

It’s worth six dollars
I think the smart gameplay and whimsical elevates a chill game to something more. I get that in the age of mobile micro transactions people try to get as much as they can for free (and in this economy)
But a specific, not ad supported, single purchase type of game is something to celebrate - and the silly postcards are just a bonus

Fun game, annoyingly buggy
This game is way too eager to lock you out of puzzles and try get you to pay. Don't even think about tapping "classic" because if you do, even if you go back to the menu right away, it won't let you play the daily puzzle. It's only my 2nd day with this app. Was eager to do the daily but now a simple misclick leaves me locked out for another 24 hours. I'm not going to pay that $5.99 - it's predatory at this point.

No ads
I love that there are no ads. The game itself is fun. I’m not great at word games but am loving doing my one a day scrabble type game. I’m contemplating paying for unlimited play but for now I’m happy with once a day.
Hooked 🌸💖✨
Such a delight to play, with great graphics and original mechanics. Would highly recommend for anyone interested in word games
Great game do recommend
Love the game great art style and gameplay
missing many words
I really really wanted to be a fan of this game. (For context, I’m a Hank Green fan and came through his proselytising.) But there are so many words missing from the gubbins dictionary!! There is nothing more frustrating than setting up a big word only to not have it be accepted. Especially when it’s nine letters! I have been thwarted when trying to play petrichor, prisms, rarified, and many other words that are absolutely real words in the English language and yet for some reason not in the gubbins dictionary. I don’t know if this is a glitch or what, but it has made gameplay immensely frustrating and not as fun as it could be.

Really terrible dictionary but still addictive
I’ve given up on this despite having paid for the unlimited version because the dictionary is very strange and limited. Some of the “words” made when I put in a substitute letter are complete nonsense, and then there are times when completely legitimate words are not accepted. I’m disappointed but also relieved because, despite its flaws, I was finding the game quite addictive.
