Amazing!

Its a amazing app, its just my only concern is how we have to give our email for the passcode. And, yes i know its needed. Butttt I dont want my parents to know i have this app and i dont have an email. So i would have to use my moms email.. which im scared to use because what if she gets a notification or something!!

THIS APP IS AWESOME!

Even thought we have to pay to get pore features there are places you can call emergency contacts there’s games to help art fidgets and noises there is a pledge you do everyday it has an simple tracker and you can track your mood and concerns and the difficulty of your day

Free is Decent but ads and ad timing are bad

I’m grateful for this app and what it does to help however, sometimes ads pop in at strange times considering what the app is meant for. So far I haven’t run into anything in a panic mode scenario but I just think there could be more mindfulness in the ad placements.

Some of the daily quotes could have been thought through a little better too…

Love it

I just love that this app is free to use and you don’t have to pay for it BECUASE I need this to help with the tracing but has been difficult to find an app that you didn’t have to pay for!

.

Perfect. The password keeps it secret, if you need to. I love how you can keep a daily track, and you can easily reset it…

I would definitely recommend - I’m currently on one of my longest clean streaks

The suggestions from me: Make a day where you didn’t self harm green/other good colour instead of blank, be able to select the type of self harm (Cutting, biting, etc.) and add a “other” option (because there’s probably millions of types…), and suggest ways to stop yourself. (I’ll probably add to this later)

It’s amazing, so helpful

It’s a really good app and I love how there’s games to distract you, especially the rain and thunder sound. If your struggling I suggest you get this app as it really helped me with my stress and overall health. I also love how you can add a password so nobody can see your personal information. This app is so helpful.

Good app

I love that I’m able to track and make notes of everything. The only thing I don’t like is the adds. When I’m trying to note how I’m feeling in stressful moments it’s hard to try to patiently wait for you to be able to skip the ad. Sometimes those seconds matter.

Clinicians - please walk through this with clients

As a DBT-trained clinician I wanted to check this app out for my clients. It has some good features and, based on the reviews, many do find it helpful. But I wanted to highlight that some features apparently trigger ads. I tapped to check out the daily message and got an ad for some kind of Galaga style game. When I clicked what I assumed was the skip button, it took me to the App Store. Imagine being a person struggling with the urge to self harm hoping to see a helpful message only to get an ADVERSTISEMENT! Seems like it could be rather triggering to someone in a moment of high activation.

So please review it for yourself and walk clients through it to see if they think it would help and can tolerate the ads because they could come up at bad times and only make the client more frustrated and likely to self harm.

Review of calm urge

This app is amazing I highly recommend it to help you when your struggling. You can write in a journal to help when you need to get rid of your thoughts and little things to fidget with as well. This app encourages you to stop harming while telling you it’s ok to harm as long as you try to get better.

Very good to help with you mental health

I’ve been using this for about a month because I’ve been struggling lately and this has helped me try to stop and has good quotes on it and if you need support has an emergency Line and has relaxing games to play to help deal with stress. The only thing is the ads which pop up once in a while but not constantly which is good. I love that you can have a password on it so friends/family can’t see what’s on there especially because it’s about your mental health. I would definitely recommend to people that are struggling but want it kept private 🫶
