Not bad I guess

I’m someone who struggles with self harm a lot. I love that there are a lot of things to do and engage with, but the last thing I need while I’m deep into panic mode is an ad.

I need to buy premium so I can take care of myself uninterrupted? Yuck.

I like it

It’s a good app and I’ve actually been keeping up with writing in that journal it has and it’s lots better because I hate writing on paper and I like that charts it has it let’s me know how I feel the most and makes me feel better knowing that I have some good feelings in there and it’s okay to have bad feelings too or days

I Just want people to see this

When I’m looking at all these sober apps and these apps that give you word of encouragement. I notice one thing. They have subscriptions. This saddens me not because I have to pay, but it makes me feel like these corporations are profiting from my pain. If they really cared about your self damaging problems. Would they make an app that “helps you,” but an app that people can subscribe to. When I about to hurt myself and I need something that will healthily put these urges to rest. I don’t need an ad I need something or someone that really, or rally wants to help.

Dear TheCurat0r, we are truly sorry if our subscription model has given you this impression. Our primary aim is to assist and not to profit from anyone's pain. The subscription fee is implemented mainly to sustain the app development and maintenance. We do understand your situation, and we suggest you continue using our free features which offer considerable help as well. Thank you for your feedback and understanding. Best, Calm Urge Team.

Review

My favorite part is that every time you open the app it says take a deep breath and it’s actually really helpful sometimes.
I love this app, it’s obviously not for a good reason but it has been helpful in looking at patterns and keeping myself in check. I would definitely recommend it.

Better than any other app

I have seen alot of apps like this and none help like this one ❤️ the little anti stress games and emergency calls and everything, its all just so nice. It also helps that theres no ads or anything. I love how you can pick how you were feeling that day from a word bank because sometimes its hard for me to write things down, but when i do need to write about it, of course theres a feature for that. This app helps me more than you could ever know, thank you, and if youre also recovering, you can do it. ❤️‍🩹

Not great but kind of helped

The format was really weird and it kept giving me adverts which I the case for a lot of apps like this but when I’m about to sh and I want to do a breathing exercise then I don’t want to watch a grammerly advert. The design could use some work because it was a really weird set up. A better one I would suggest is Carm harm

Dear Ems.. 78xx, we appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear that the ad placements caused inconvenience. The ads are necessary to keep the app free, however, we can certainly reconsider their timing within the app. We're always striving to improve Calm Urge and your suggestions are very valuable to us. If you consider, we'd appreciate if you could update your rating. Best, The Calm Urge Team.

Adding premium and poorly placed ads.

This app was amazing until you updated it to shove premium in our faces. The overall app performance has also plummeted and i keep getting issues trying to look at my analytics. The ads that appear seem to be very poorly picked in when they appear and what they show. Every time I try and reset my streak I get an add for either bible reading or a ‘diet’ app. This is an app to help people with mental issues who also likely have EDs as well as SH issues. It’s ridiculous. Put the ads as small banners or clicking into analytics just not on reset streak or when journaling.

- Screen the ads.
- Don’t pressure users to get premium. We’re all mentally screwed we don’t have any money.
- Performance issues.

Good

I feel like I can say anything in it and I feel better after

Great app

This app is really good, it’s helped me quite a bit, but something that’s kinda annoying and also kinda funny, is whenever I tried to change my time it almost always puts me in an ad, I’m normally fine with ads but while your in the middle of crying and after hurting yourself and wanting to change it, a random ad just starts

Was good but gone down pan

You have introduced a premium option and half the normal features are now inaccessible. This app is for people battling with addictions like sh a lot of these people haven’t got access to help/don’t want people to know and don’t have access to the funds to buy premium. It’s kinda despicable what you’ve done
