I was just using my grandmas phone with this app and it randomly started flashing and neither me or my grandma could fix it. DONT GET THIS APP

I’ve been using this app for well over a year; it used to be free and it isn’t anymore which is a bummer. I paid for the upgrade since the search function (allowing you to search the app’s templates) wasn’t functioning buuuuut it still isn’t functioning. Now I’ve paid for the app and it isn’t actually working properly:/ didn’t have that problem when it was free.

I absolutely love the Stencil app! It has completely revolutionized my drawing experience and has helped me level up my art skills. The augmented reality guidelines are an absolute game changer - they make it so much easier to draw precise lines and shapes, and have helped me achieve a level of detail in my drawings that I never thought possible. The app is also really user friendly and easy to navigate, which is a huge plus. I especially love the option to use my own photos or doodles as reference material, as it allows me to draw anything I can imagine. Overall, I think Stencil is an incredible tool for any artist, whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their drawing skills.

I really like the idea of how you can trace everything. You just have to have a cup or something to put your phone on to project the image.

Love the idea of the app but it’s super glitchy. Every time I try to open any line art the app closes. It’s really disappointing as I’d love to be able to use them for my bullet journal!
Amazing for journaling!!!
I saw this app and was initially unsure about it because apps like this always make you pay for every worthwhile feature. This app surprised me though!
It allows you to pick a stencil from the free options which are still very useful and you can easily modify them outside of the app.
My favorite free feature is the customized font and label option. It is so nice for journaling or titles on notes.
I am super excited to eventually get Premium though, which is very reasonably priced for someone with a low spending by budget! The option to use Pinterest for other stencils is brilliant!
One recommendation: that the font names would be written in their corresponding fonts! I love the options but it’s annoying looking at every single one to find the one I like.

Great for tracing
Using it to trace is awesome! The only problem I have is that I’m not able to choose my own words. There are so many different fonts and it is great to use! I just wish I could customize what I said

Hello :) Thank you for your review. Have you tried the header section in the main menu. Currently you'll be able to select some of the fonts but you certainly right there will be more customization to resize and warp the fonts for headers.

Amazing idea and would really love it and use it…..if it worked. Every time I launch the app and tap on ‘line art’, references or banners the app just crashes. FYI I’m using an iPhone 7 running the latest iOS update. Plsss fix this.
