Alinea is an exceptional investment app that has made the world of investing easy and accessible for the general population, even for those without any prior experience. With its user-friendly interface and intuitive features, Alinea has truly revolutionized the way people approach investing.
One of the standout qualities of Alinea is its ability to demystify the complex world of finance. By providing clear explanations and guidance, the app empowers beginners to confidently navigate the investment landscape. Alinea's educational resources have been invaluable in helping me understand the fundamentals of investing, making it an ideal platform for novices.
However, to further enhance the user experience, I think, it would be beneficial if Alinea offered more resources and recommendations. For instance, having access to expert insights on which ETFs to invest in or highlighting hot stocks of the moment could greatly assist users in making informed investment decisions. Expanding the app's resource library with these additional features would undoubtedly provide even greater value to its users.
The customer service is very helpful. At first I was annoyed that I couldn’t invest because my account was under review. I know there are legal procedures. The customer service helped me quickly. They are very communicative. When I first got the app they ask for my opinion on its improvements. I like that they ask the consumers their opinions instead of deciding what improvements are needed among themselves. This app is pretty easy to use and honestly if you have a steady income this app would be great. It constantly puts money in your investment so you don’t have to. It also gives advice on when to buy, sell, hold etc. They give you instructional videos on how to read stocks. It is very beginner friendly. It helped me since I am still new to investing.
The automatic investing feature is definitely nice, and I’ve gotten some returns from it. However, the app isn’t that intuitive to use imo. I don’t really use the news page but it takes up most of the home page. I would prefer a larger graph layout like Robinhood has right on the front page that show your investments - so you don’t have to click into each one to see them. Overall I think the app is a good idea, but it’s not interesting enough for me to use often.
As a college student who knew nothing about investing or personal finance growing up, I started to feel a bit overwhelmed when people talked about investing. I felt like it was only for finance majors or Wall Street bros. When I started learning more about it, the boring and confusing websites of brokerages made me feel even more alone. Alinea completely changed the game for me! Alinea has made investing so easy, and the amazing user interface and concept has made it so motivating for me to keep investing. The playlists are fun and creative, and even investing in simple ETFS or mutual funds looks fun! Everything is SO straightforward and so easy to understand. I can’t wait to keep growing my money with Alinea!
I shouldn’t even be giving this app one star since they deserve none.
I was signing in to the app writing in my name and age, i didn’t even get to finish signing in since i realized i was not going to use the app anyway, keep in mind i never shared a payment method of any kind.
I didn’t think to delete the app since the info i entered (my name and age) was not submitted. A day later I get a notification that I was charged 180 dollars to my card from Alinea. I reach out to the company and they state that they are going to refund me. However, i don’t see how that’s possible unless they are actually admitting to stealing my info since I never shared a card with them.
I explain this concern to them and they state that they are waiting for the payment to process, however my bank states it was processed TWO DAYS AGO. It not only stole my information but about 186 dollars that I don’t have.
They wanted to justify by saying that just by downloading the app they warn that there will be a charge made, but I did not see that warning anywhere.
Do not download this app !!!! it’s a big scam that has left me money-less.

I have no comments about the app itself as I haven’t given myself the time to navigate but i’m sure it’s great. However they’re refusing to give me my money back. I mistakenly bought the subscription because I thought there would be a button for “confirm payment” or something as such, but it never popped up. I finished setting the account hoping it’d ask me to confirm the payment at the end but it didn’t, the payment was going through already. I contacted them immediately and they’re refusing to give me my money back. I haven’t even used the app and they seem to have a 24hr policy to get your refund back which I definitely met. Now they’re only offering me a 50% discount but $120 dollars can be a lot and it’d be 60 dollars I’d be losing on. They’re taking forever to respond although it says replies within 10 minutes. This has been extremely disappointing

My app glitched at the account creation page and the section that had the information about the fee disappeared when I switched to another app to check on something and returned to the app. Instead of taking me to the account creation page, it took me to the next step, so I assumed that the fee was not applicable to my account since I didn’t confirm or submit any approval for it. It automatically PROCEEDED ME to the next screen and I thought this would mean my account is just a demo i.e. no investing capabilities. I spoke with support and they aren’t even helping me cancel future subscriptions let alone get a refund for this one because mind you I HAVEN’T EVEN USED A SINGLE SERVICE FROM THEM. So you guys are going to charge $85 and dip? What an awful system.

This app truly is such a great tool, especially for a woman because it opened doors and made place for opportunities I never thought could even be accessible to me! I am delighted with the tools and especially with the investing playlists which were truly a game changer for me. The Alinea crew has been able to thoroughly answer all my questions and made me feel so comfortable in such a gatekept domain.
