I first heard about this woman-founded, values-inspired, aesthetically-pleasing app through TikTok, and I immediately downloaded it. I had been debating dabbling with stocks, but I was struggling to find my way in. Alinea not only provided an accessible platform to buy and sell stocks but also easy-to-understand financial education to help me get started, maintain my portfolio, and weigh my options.
If that’s not enough to convince you to get Alinea, maybe their investing playlists will! I always seek to financially support companies that support my values, and Alinea helps me do that while saving me time. After taking a quiz to describe what you care about and what you’re interested in investing in, the app recommends you stocks in the form of a personalized playlist. With Alinea, I’ve easily identified stocks that support Black businesses, queer businesses, and environmentally friendly businesses.
As if this app couldn’t get any better, their staff are so friendly and personable, and it makes the investing experience feel thoughtful and a part of something bigger than myself. I am so grateful!! 10/10 recommend.
The app noted I wouldn’t be able to use it unless I submitted my social security card. I wasn’t sure why it was necessary to submit our number and our card, and I have been waiting for tech support to respond for two days now and am feeling frustrated by the slow response. It makes me less inclined to use the app.
Could use some small additions in different areas but I’m writing this because I am unable to see any of the graphs of any stock on their profile page. Small fix but annoying to be unable to see how they’re performing and their trends on this app.
Alinea is a great app for new investors to begin their investing journey. It does a great job keeping a simple user interface, and it has many great features that other investing apps do not have. I highly rate the app for people who are looking into getting into investing!!
Downloaded Alinea in April and have nothing but good things to say. It’s super user-friendly and allows for unparalleled investing experience. I’ve really enjoyed the social aspect and the streamlined news feed. Would recommend to anyone!
The playlist are great but nobody actually invests in them, it’s all hindsight. Yeah I could make a playlist with Tesla that went up 500 %. It would say up 500 %, but I never invested with them a year ago or so. UX is very feminine, and does not cater to a large audience. Also I asked to intern there where the founders were very rude and uninterested, and give UNPAID interns work. Right a Y combinator backed company won’t give interns money. There is not enough data, and no good investors. Happy employees = solid business.
Investing is actually fun now. Threw out those other apps that kept making me feel inadequate (with stupid graphs that look like they are made by bill gates’ graphic design team from the 80’s)… and put all my eggs here. I treat myself every day to a new investment in one of my stocks. Slayyyyyyying it with the female owned playlists right now. If you aren’t investing, START ON ALINEA!

I wasn’t really much of an investor before, but this app is so user-friendly and I love being able to learn by seeing other people’s investing habits.
This app empowered me to take charge of my own investing strategy. I had always found investing really daunting and it felt like I didn’t quite fit into the stereotype of an investor. Alinea completely changed that!! I love being treated as the creator I am and making money while doing so. I really feel like a member of the community. Can’t say enough amazing things!!
