Hmmm, underwhelmed
I find the use of an American voice irritating in this context.
I’ve just started an exercise about dealing with an inner voice where she says it will help me when it comes to dealing with ‘real’ problems 🤷♀️😡 as opposed to the fantasy ones my anxiety is creating I presume? 🙄
The relaxation exercise did my head in, talking about probably feeling like a spaceman when you’re scrunched up! Really??? I’m not 8 years old ffs!
The challenging thoughts exercise was helpful, to be fair.
As for the glitches, I contacted the helpline and was underwhelmed and intensely irritated by the response. I’m probably a bit old fashioned but getting a reply that starts “Hi X” from a complete stranger winds me up. Plus it turns out that if I’d scrolled down the screen (no idea for how long) before downloading the app, I’d have seen info for UK users that says iPad usage isn’t supported 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️ so why let it be downloaded? It really added to my anxiety and frustration. I couldn’t get it via the desktop either so basically it’s only optimal on a phone, which is a small screen and I don’t like using the phone this way.
So if you’re not very anxious it might be useful but it’s an algorithm so is a v broad sweep & to me the NHS is using apps because they can’t provide people; they’re a v poor substitute.
