Everybody wants something for nothing
A lot of these low star reviews seem to come from people who were financially irresponsible and needed to back track, not from those who sincerely didn’t appreciate the service, so I felt like I needed to leave a review too. It was very clear upon signing up what charges were to ensue (which is why I didn’t initially order due to my own budget at the time) and l in no way expected to pay only $10 for a box of 5 personally curated books. And shipping, potentially both ways if returning books, a cost on their end, even if it’s marketed as free shipping. Thus far I have had no issues, so I have no experience with their customer service, and I like the book shuffles where you can mark books that you already own as well as books that your kid would not be interested in.

Cute books - make it VERY difficult to cancel
It’s very hard for our family to return the books with both parents working and traveling for work.
So although the books are cute, 5 books doesn’t equate to 40+ dollars for me. Also when you try to cancel your subscription the site forced you to go through a chat where there is no one on the other end…. Tried chatting multiple times with no response. So I’ve still not canceled and I’ve not found a number to call.

Great but….
My son gets this for last couple years. His grandma sends it but we get a lot of things he’s not into. There should be a way via the app for the child to alter what they are receiving without having to get grandma to do it. She lives far away.
Love Literati, but the app needs some improvements
Our 2 year old book lover constantly need new books but we still avoid going to a library, since he sometimes “plays” with his books and rips out pages. So this subscription program has been a perfect thing for us. However, the monthly Book Preview alert goes only to my email and not through the app. Is this normal? All my phone notification setting is on for Literati and there’s no setting in the app I can adjust the notification frequency. It would be super helpful if I get monthly notifications through the app since my email gets swarmed by junk daily.

False Advertising
$9.95? Free shipping? Not a chance. They don’t mention you also pay PER book once you decide what to keep until after you’ve given credit card info. They claim they beat competitor prices and I can guarantee that isn’t true. A $4 book online ends up being $15 or more if you decide to keep it with this scheme. Disappointed.

I’m not going anywhere you
We will get a hold of her
The only thing I could say was
I’m going out for the next
Heartbreaking.
I was SO excited seeing the ad for this. As it turns out, your subscription doesn’t cover any of the books. I had to look at the reviews after I already filled out the subscription & payment info before I realized my massive mistake. I’m truly heartbroken by this & will be making it a point to simply go book shopping monthly will my little one instead.

Should be false advertising
Tells you $9.95 a month, then charges you for the books you keep. My 11 month old would destroy them faster than I could put them back in the box :/
