Just doesn’t work
App randomly changes time and date setting and the hand placement. Will look at watch to see time is set completely wrong with the hands mismatching even though programmed to my home time.
Really sad as the g-shock mudmaster app was really cool and just worked. Even if it seemed a little dated to modern UI standards.
This app doesn’t work and is just full of marketing content nonsense.
Highly disappointing Casio. The reason I bought a Casio gshock was to get away from smart watch glitches! I just want my watch to work!
If you’re buying a Casio for its smart connection ability maybe look elsewhere.

Needs Work
The app is pretty glitchy and crashes while trying to sync about 50% of the time.
Workout data is limited.

Worse than the old app
Don’t know why this happens, I’m guessing they have a new director in software or there has been a personal change in product marketing and to make their mark the new incumbent decides to change things that already work well. This app is way worse than the previous gshock app, both in terms of ease of use and reliability…my watch now will only give temp in Fahrenheit eg…..progress….not!

Disappointed.
For a Bluetooth controlled watch costing £920, there is not much that is controlled by the Bluetooth app. I was hoping that I could customise more of the functionality but it is really limited.
For me, the main drawback of the MTG-b3000 is that when using the functions, the hands do not clear the sub dials so you can actually see/use the functions. A step backwards from Casio there compared to other models.
Also the functionality is rather slow and basic when compared to some of the cheaper G-Shock models.
I hope Casio will somehow add more features and maybe even a sweep away hand function which could be as part of an update for this watch using the app (if that is possible?).
Lack of bracelet/strap options here in the UK is also frustrating. We have the quick release function but no availability for alternative straps, so far proving to be a rather pointless “weakness” to the watch as I have had the strap spontaneously detach itself when I didn’t expect it, annoyingly resulting in some scratches!
On a more positive note, the fit and finish of build is good (but so it should be for a near £1000 watch) and the lightness and smaller dimensions of it means that it is comfortable to wear for longer periods of time.
It syncs with my iphone on demand and I have successfully used the “find my phone” feature more than once now.
Worth over £920? I will get back to you on that after I have used it for a longer period of time.

Transfer of data
Doesn’t work, can’t transfer data from G-shock connected. Would be good to have maps and tide.
Gregg Spencer
I enjoyed how the time piece followed my phone around the world on my last trip.
Terrible “Upgrade”.
The previous app was simple. Connect, time autocorrected, I could go about my day. Now, time will not autocorrect. It will not keep my required time zone. Now will not even synch time to my needed time zone. This effectively makes this watch useless to me as I need it for work and cannot stop every 5 mins to update my time. Until they fix this app, return your havocs to the store you got it and buy a cheap watch or another brand. They’d both be more reliable at this point.

DW-H5600 Usage
The only health tracking is through ‘My Page,’ which is minimalistic. Lots of info, just not able to categorize or look through historical charts. No link to Apple Health. The purpose of this watch is for data and this app doesn’t give you much choice on how to display it.
No offline mode. Which is awful as these are situations that a G-Shock is kind of in its element.
I don’t know if I would have spent the money on this had I know the app functionality was so abysmal. I wish they had also paid Polar for their application team and not just the hardware.

This was a terrible decision
The prior G-Shock app worked perfectly. Time synchronization worked on time, every time. This app does the exact opposite of what was promised by Casio and the developers of the app. This is considered false advertisement, especially considering the purchase price of my watch and the available functions as advertised upon purchase. Now I have to manually synchronize which defeated the purpose of why I purchased my GST-B100.
As a web and IOS app developer myself, I can’t understand why you decided this was good venture to embark on. Just to push advertisements in our faces? I’ll be filing with the FTC and consulting a consumer right attorney.

Broken functionality
The G-SHOCK connected app just worked. It was refreshing to see that a press of a button on my watch would actually do reliable time syncs. With this app it’s 3 steps backwards. You can no longer do a manual sync from the watch. The gps point plotting function that takes place when doing a manual sync is also busted. The phone finder function is unreliable. And I agree with other user sentiments regarding ads on the main page. It honestly feels like a crime to buy hardware that functions one way, only to have a company force you to change the software used and completely degrade the product you paid for. People that buy G-SHOCKs are not looking to buy another smart watch. It has to be rock solid (even software-wise) before anything else. An ad riddled broken app is what you get when you go anywhere else. Shouldn’t happen with Casio.
