Finally a simple and safe app to use!

Been a customer for a few months now and love the smooth application journey. Now Cynergy bank has released a clean simple and reliable app now!

Gets 5 stars from a new customer!

Cannot even start

Using my iPhone 13, I downloaded the app, and clicked start. Some text appeared “ Manage your personal finances at your fingertips using the Cynergy Bank Mobile Banking app….” but you cannot proceed. I tried it on my iPad and there is a continue button under that text, but you cannot access that continue button on your phone.

Effective banking app

For a brand new app, I am impressed. The layout is clear, it seems easy to use, and it looks great!

Super convenient

Easy to set up and such a simple way to manage my account.

“Something went wrong” - doesn’t work

I registered the App and got through security but after logging in it reports “Something went wrong… We couldn't load your account balances, please try again. Don't worry, your money is safe.”

I’ve tried WiFi and Mobile data. I’ve quit and restarted the app but it’s the same every time. My online access via a web browser is fine but the app is useless.

Hi Blade Runner 2038, Our app team is putting the finishing touches to business banking features that will enable switching between personal & business accounts on the same app. As soon as the update is published—a matter of weeks—we'll email business banking customers. There'll also be a notice on the app to upgrade. Hope that helps?

May be good BUT can’t log on

Unable to enter a pin if it contains a zero as the FCS logo is under. Likewise unable to accept notifications as the accept button is just off the bottom of the screen. Fairly basic errors in testing !

Network connection issues

The app simply won’t connect to the internet via WiFi or data. Other apps are working just fine. All settings are correct. Consistently an issue. Just set up an account with them but if they can’t get the app right I’m not sure I’ll deposit anything.

Won’t allow me to login

Unable to login despite entering the details correctly. Get as far as the passcode stage and then a message saying doesn’t recognise my details. 25 mins call later to customer service and still no further forward. So frustrating as the website isn’t actually the most user friendly either but at least I can log in to that.

Ipad version - First impression

Downloaded the app on my ipad and very impressed so far. I tried on my iphone and no good at all. I have an iphone se 2nd gen but you cannot read the bottom of screens and cannot input pin digits from the bottom line so cannot even log in. Hopefully this can be corrected in a later release? Tried to leave separate review but not able to do that.
The mobile banking site on the web is a nightmare and takes so long to get online. The app is much quicker but presumably just as secure. Have come across 2 issues so far. You cannot contact the bank through the app. Seems you can only send secure message via online banking which seems daft. Hopefully this will be added soon Secondly I have an account that I closed a year ago but cannot see a way to remove it from my list of accounts. I tried the “customise” tab where I clicked the account name but it still appears in the list of accounts. I was able to reorder the accounts so my active one is now on top. Would be useful to be able to get rid of inactive accounts. Overall I am liking the app and such an improvement on the web banking option.

Registration

Managed to download the app ok but unable to complete the registration process ! My name has an apostrophe in it & have tried with it & without but no luck ! So have contacted Customer Services who couldn’t help & said someone would call me back- to date no call received !

I have just attempted again to register, after leaving it for several days, & it failed again saying there had been too many attempts & to try again in an hour’s time ! This is the same message I got the last time I tried a few days ago - seems to have got in some kind of loop !!
