Recent update increases both bugs and ads, hurray!

I can’t connect to the camera via WiFi on a consistent basis because you’ve baked so many ads into your bloatware product. I get it, you want me to buy premium. You want me to buy more cameras. I should’ve just paid for a more robust camera platform. It costs more upfront but at least I’m not being fed ads and more ads every 15 seconds in a app that has now become unusable.

Drains battery

App won't let you switch off background app refresh meaning it's always running. Full battery will go dead in an hour on my brand new iPhone. When I check usage it's hours of ChillaxCare background. I'll be sending these cameras back immediately.

Poor quality overall

So I initially picked this monitor for the fact that it offers both wifi/ non wifi options. Here are my issues with it:
- The screen doesn’t stand on it’s own and the sound is very low, even on the highest setting.
- The screen needs to be constantly charging because the battery dies very quickly.
But my biggest issue is the app… It’s honestly very bad. Needs to be constantly refreshed because the screen freezes several times a day. The lullaby button appears 1 out of 2 or 3 times. Yes, it just disappears... sometimes needs to close and reopen the app SEVERAL times for it to reappear and be able to turn the lullaby off!
Already looking for another monitor…

Good but…

Overall, this is a good product. The night vision is good and I like that I can view in the app. However, on the app the video can be laggy or not seeming to connect at all (frozen video) and I will close and reopen and still takes forever to get video. Also, you have to have the app in order to use any of the white noise features. When the monitor and camera disconnect (for whatever reason) the monitor will make an awful beeping sound, which is a ton of fun in the middle of the night when you’re dead asleep.

App works but drains battery

The Chillaxcare app works as intended and I haven’t come across any issues as far as streaming the video, audio, or lullabies.

The main issue I have is that it is an absolute battery drainer. It is regularly using 55%-70% of my usage compared to other apps. I once clocked the background activity for this at 18 hours. I get that it’s likely set up that way due to the complaints of the video freezing when it actually just needs refreshed but there at least needs to be an option to disable it in the background. I already turned off “Background App Refresh” in the iOS settings but that seemingly does nothing. Can we get a manual refresh button or something within the app so it doesn’t have to constantly run in the background?

Great product!

It's great for just general monitoring. I can see it when I am not at home, and I enjoy receiving alerts. The temperature monitor is not accurate, though. You also have to close completely out of the app, then restart it in order to refresh the live camera. Other than that, I think it's a great product.

App rarely works - frozen all the time.

It’s scary to rely on this app to watch your baby. It’s freezes all the time where I believe my baby is still sleeping but awake. It’s been well over 45 days using this app and there hasn’t been a single day that the app does not freeze to the point I have to close and reopen the app several times each day. I’m very disappointed and was hoping this app would work well. It’s happening on both my husbands and my phone. I have an iPhone and he has the One Plus.

Slow to respond, too busy, don’t like

I really don’t like this app. We bought the baby camera, which is ok, the app is a nice feature when it works but half the time I get the spinning circle and can’t see the feed. The app is busy (the free version) and it’s visually displeasing. The icons are always on the baby’s face and they never go away when I do full
Screen mode. Very annoying.

Stopped working with iOS 16

App worked well before updating. Now the camera never loads.
