So buggy

I’ve only had this app for 24 hours and have already encountered so many bugs. I like Pearler but the interface is just not working. It’s hard to navigate, buttons that don’t work, sign in failures, verification failures, pulsing pearls of death. Please fix the bugs in the app so I can actually use your service on my mobile. The bugs make me wonder about the quality and safety of the actual service. Not ideal for a new customer.

Hi EllEllEll, sorry for any inconveniences this might have caused. Could you reach out to in app support or contact us on help@pearler.com so we can identify and fix the problems your having.

Some things need fixing

I love this app and company,

the new dashboard features a graph but it hasn’t been updating despite the overall net worth number changing. The dates change just not the shape and $ number. I love this feature so would love to since this fixed

Response from developer

Hi Sarah, its great to hear your loving the app. In regards to the graph issue could you please reach out to help@pearler.com or use the in app support chat by clicking your profile icon and then the chat to us button. We would love to get this issue resolved for you!

Ambition turned unfriendly

Pearler was a stellar fintech thinking about the use always. Recent updates have made the app glitchy, for example if you try to copy a chat message in support, the whole app closes. Some figures and pop ups never show correctly. Most egregiously though, old data has been moved to a new premium model for ‘cost recovery’ purposes. Before the developer response, please tell me why lifetime earnings in $ value is now gone? How is this ‘new’ information only available under the premium version of the app?

Response from developer

Lifetime earnings in $ will always be free and has never moved to premium. The dashboard has customisation options to show either just $, %, or both $ and % performance values. The reason for this change is customers wanted a cleaner more clear dashboard experience, so we decided to allow customers to customise this to their individual needs. If you need help showing both $ and % lifetime earnings, please reach out to us in the app through the live chat, or emailing us at help@pearler.com.

Needs updating like everyday

Every single time I go on this app (maybe once/twice a week) I need to update before accessing my account - so annoying it makes me not want to use the app. How could it need so many updates every month?

Response from developer

App updates are to ensure the best possible user experience for all our users. It ensures any old versions with bugs cant be used when a new version is out. We want to ensure the best experience for all our customers.

Pretty good, still needs work.

Overall I’d say okay but some of the navigation is still a bit clunky. Also, why do I now need to pay extra to subscribe to details like dividends, share trends etc. I can find this elsewhere but disappointing that this is no longer available for all within your app. I downgraded my rating mostly because of this.

Response from developer

Hi frekuck, we've started offering premium data for a small fee, mostly due to cost recovery for said new data. All premium data on the platform is brand new. We have not removed or paywall'd any existing access to data or features in the platform. Please don't hesitate to contact us in app or email us at help@pearler.com.

Great app…. But leave the dashboard alone :)

I really enjoy pearler but I opened it today to see a confusing, dashboard with super removed from net worth and articles taking up space where I want to see my money.
Luckily after a bit of searching and a failed attempt to reach chat, I realised this has been set as a early access experimental dashboard and I could get my normal one back. I hope you give users the choice to move to the new or retain their old one

Crashes, bugs and complex

I installed today on iPhone 11 Pro - latest OS version - you would expect it to work.

I had to restart three or four times to be able to go through registration which either has buttons not working or blank content. Navigation is very buggy during registration.

The app crashed three times too at various user flows.

The UX was not really pleasant as they mix some financial independence tooling with your investment. Some of the tools was really directed towards a way to gather your data (for example if you dont link you mortgage account it consider you own the entire house…) - plenty of little things that dont make the tooling that great to manage your financial independence even though ut feels they had plenty of great ideas and actually it hides the investment what I really want to focus on. It feels like one of these app that started with great UX and got destroyed over the time by business decisions (I just arrive so I cant know but it is how it feels)

Buggy, crashy, UX too complicated, giving data but not getting much… going to look if there is a way to switch back to an only investment view (like most broker basically)

Hi, thanks for sharing your experience. Would you be happy to reach out to our customer service team on the live chat or by emailing help@pearler.com? If you provide more information we can look into these for you and make sure we resolve these issues.

Great easy and simple interface for investing

I like the simplicity and professionalism of the interface. It’s very practical to invest in stocks.
One thing that does need to be improved is the navigation/ caching between menus as clicking ‘back’ takes you all the way back to first level menu which means you need to go through the options again.
Also some buttons are inactive until you reset and click into the menu item again to activate it.
This needs to be fixed to improve the overall experience.

Good functionality, bad interface

First off, the app functionality is pretty good, There are some really good features.

One of the biggest problems with Pearler is the UI. It’s clunky, sometimes doesn’t load, and just feels compressed. The UX is also pretty lacking as well.

- Big card at top of invest page that tells me to sign up to invest, even when I’m logged in
- Can’t see graph of Micro other than 6 months
- Small things like buttons seeming not responsive, spacing such as top of graphs being cut off, etc.

It’s a bit of a shame that this app is so good in terms of functionality but the looks and feel doesn’t match the praise.

But, this app receives frequent updates.
Good work Pearler team, I trust you put in hard work, but would love to see a UI update.

Bug Fixing

Pearler has constant updates due to bug fixing. It’s been a constant hassle to trying to log in, then being told my app version is outdated, and needs to be updated again and again. I’m glad bugs are getting sorted out regularly, but now I can’t even log in because the app says my version is no longer supported, but then the App Store says my app is up-to-date so I can’t update it any further. So how can my Pearler app be both?
