Unfinished and inappropriate

This game is unfinished and when you “fix” everything there is in the game you get put into this event where you are not able to earn coins. I’m sure this is to prevent you from saving up your coins because the game has so much developing left to do and they don’t want people to complete it all quickly but when you launch an unfinished game with in app purchases it’s unfair to stop game players from progressing just because you didn’t finish the app.

The game is also rated for twelve and up and I’ve let some of my younger cousins play the game for this reason. Some of the advertisements you can choose to watch for rewards are not appropriate for children, there was one for some zombie game where a woman was tied up to the bed with a man yelling at her about the survival game which was appalling to me.

If the developers allow you to earn coins while they continue finishing this game, and better screen advertisements I will happily change the rating because the game itself is fun. There are some minor issues like generators being inconsistent in the time it takes them to recharge, and the amount they spawn once they do, the math not making sense of how many gems certain items cost or how much coin they’re worth, drawings for the plot having background images that don’t match what you have “fixed” in the game, etc. but ultimately it is fun to play

Thank you for your review! Our team is hard at work to create more content to our players at the end of content. Watch out for more mystery and things to fix in the upcoming months! Overall a fun game

I have been playing this game for a while now and feel it’s right to give a review. I have played a lot of merge games and out of all of the ones I have played, this one has held my attention the longest. The story line is interesting coupled with the ability to somewhat customize the decorations in the game. (An added bonus you can go back and change your designs without additional costs like most merge type games). The game does a mediocre job of switching up the types of orders you fulfill. I wish the game did a better job of randomizing the order requests so you weren’t fulfilling identical orders back to back with items that can take WEEKS to obtain. There are additional “bonus” tasks you can fulfill. One where you collect roses and earn additional items, and another that involves stockpiling your coins for rewards. There used to be Sven’s traveling toy mission but that seems to have disappeared for whatever reason? I think instead of having Edwina’s coin challenge and the rose challenge back to back, constantly, week after week, there should be different bonus challenges added in. I hope the developers of the app take this critique and continue to improve the game. Even though some of the item can take a long time to make, it is worth it! The story line is great, the graphics are great, and the game play is straightforward and fun.

Better than similar games

I was expecting this game to be just like any other matching game you might find. It is a lot like them but don’t get me wrong, it’s much more enjoyable. It even has a strong appeal and story line. With other games you just match the two objects, decorate, and reach your goal. With this you can investigate and personally I find it much better than other games like this. The only thing I would fix is the amount of reloading time it takes for items that give you things once you’ve used them up. Other than that one thing, the game is nearly perfect as far as I’m aware! Thank you so much for creating this game, I’ll definitely share this with my family and friends.

Favorite Game!

Absolutely love this game! I downloaded it over a month ago after reading all the positive reviews, and have played it every day since! Here’s what I love: - Interesting story line - Gay characters! - Great gameplay - No ads unless you choose to watch one for extra items/energy (which I often do) - In game purchases are reasonably priced - The picnic pass quests are fun and the rewards are great! - Edwina’s Cash Dash event is great! - I LOVED the arcade event! I hope I get to keep the arcade event forever The only thing I’m not too keen on is the Roses event, as that often adds extra items to my already-cluttered board. I also agree with the other reviews stating they wished the Toy Shop had a separate energy meter; I often don’t participate in these unless all my main generators are tapped out and I have energy remaining, as I’m too excited to continue the story!

Update: I’ve now reached the “Bake Off” part of the game, having finished Day 57 which is the last one in the game so far. I think it’s a great interesting way to keep earning gems and parts for generators while the developers work on what’s next!

Disappointing

It absolutely boggles my mind how the developers created a game that provides maybe 5 minutes of play a few times a day. We all ADORE this game, the graphics, the characters, the storyline, but the payout is ridiculous. I’m always left with spent creation items (library, oven, herb plant, etc.) and a no orders fulfilled because each creation item has so few pulls. Then we’re left with nothing to do. Why? Developers, you have to change things to keep us playing! Other merge games have manage to keep us playing as we are never left stuck, as more gameplay was introduced and kept us entertained and going. I love this game but it’s so frustrating and it the amount of time I spend playing L&P pales in comparison to other merge games and it doesn’t have to be like that.

Too repetitive for little reward

On the one hand, this game is colourful, and definitely does not force ads on you. It starts off fun, also.

However, you quickly realise it's a tedious and repetitive game with little payoff. There are events every couple of days which you can't complete without paying real money because there are two energy limitations in the game - one is the number of actions you can perform before waiting for energy to recharge, but a second is your generators keep timing out and have to recharge so you have huge delays before being able to complete goals. It doesn't help that the generators always create low-level items and it takes successive merges to get to the things you need. And, of course, your generators keep needing to recharge.

It's one of those games where you soon realise even though it's attractive and started off a bit fun, it is ultimately trite, repetitive, and pointless.

By far the best merge game on the App Store

I’ve been wanting to review this game for a while, as it honestly deserves all the accolades it can get for being an actually enjoyable merge game with an engaging story, hilarious and fun characters, and enjoyable events (I’m really enjoying the current Mayor storyline and the Picnic Pass is very much worth it - it feels like the difficulty has been adjusted this time to make getting everything more possible so thank you!).

I also find I can get a lot more done in a session than other merge games as the energy restores very quickly and the game actually awards coins and gems on a regular basis.

My only minor complaint would be that I’m a little bored of cycling between Yuka and Edwina’s events every couple of days and would like something new. But it’s no big deal.

Finally, a suggestion: I would love love LOVE it if you could add a gallery where I could go to see all the beautiful artwork from the story. It seems such a shame to only see each pic once during the dialogue/story scenes, and it would help me to remember what has happened so far. Please consider adding this feature!

Thanks so much for making a game that was actually just like the ads (the same story even, amazing!) and which doesn’t force ads in game (only if you choose to watch for energy etc). Great story, great characters, great fun :)

This game will have you hooked!

This game is fantastic. I have been playing for a while now and despite reaching the current end point in the story (don’t worry there are regular updates giving more content) I haven’t stopped playing. I am absolutely hooked. The characters are funny and lovable. The story is so interesting you will be begging to know what’s coming next. There are complex character relationships. It’s honestly not like other games with obvious plots. Honestly it’s like a tv family drama/comedy. It has plenty of intrigue, heartbreak, love, laughter, mystery and wholesome moments. You will call in love with these characters and get invested in their lives.

I can’t wait to see where the developers take this game. I’m looking forward to every update. And I’m looking forward to any future game releases from this company.

Thank you for the support! We can't wait to bring out more content and new games in the future!

disappointed

The game is fun, rather addicting. However, I am deleting it. My reasoning is One move equals One energy, One energy equals 2 minutes refill. It takes a lot of moves to complete one item and orders are usually several items, therefore 100 energy is truly not sufficient. In fact 100 of energy is less then one 1 minute of play time which is very disappointing. Now you can watch ads to get 15 energy up to 60 which is 4 ads or buy gems with hard earned cash to buy energy. Issue with that is everytime you refill with gems it cost more gems “ that is greedy”. The game is not playable with little energy it gives and extended time it requires to refill. there are many reviews here saying the same things and game devs didn’t acknowledge/ respond to any of them. so much wasted potential. If you want people to play your game up the energy limit or reduce waiting time.

Engaging story casual gameplay

I am way more invested in this games story than I should be 😂. But the game play is fun, and for a casual phone game it’s nice to be able to pick up and play without time limits on anything. Each item that produces has a cool down timer but you can speed it up with gems. It’s fairly easy to gain ~30 gems every few days so if you don’t spend gems on EVERYTHING it feels fairly balanced for a FTP game.

If you’re interested in spending money I do think the deals they offer are pretty reasonable, and they appear to have a lot of sales going on as well.

Overall I find this to be a very enjoyable game to pick up throughout the day, and I’m genuinely curious where the story is going. I LOVE how diverse the cast is, and the fact that Kate is a Dino girl makes so happy.
