Awesome concept! And awesome app
Cool investment app!
Better than I initially thought
I found Ark7.com later last year and gave it a try along with growth stocks in the post-Covid aftermath.
Initially the growth stocks had decent returns and the stock market felt more exciting when my stocks grew (in some cases, a lot). But Ark7 was still pretty good compared to managing my own rental properties because I had to do zero management despite owning shares of 4-5 properties, some in areas with much higher rent to price ratios. I also liked the stability of monthly distributions.
Then 2022 happened and my gains in the stock market vaporized… Being an engineer trying to make sense of everything, I began to study on topics about the US dollar cycles, interest rates, and markets, and the Fed’s recent cash printing & tapering, etc. Turns out that the valuation and market cap of companies are intentionally complex. I’m actually shocked at how quickly hedge funds can move using big data to predict stock trends. I realize that as an individual investor with a day job, I’m not exactly going to beat the stock market and there’s even more work involved in understanding everything versus operating real estate. Now I’m looking to invest in something that truly has value that’s tangible. Ark7 has steady growth so I’m planning to shift my portfolio from stocks to real estate and be done with it, get steady returns, and wait for the housing prices to go up in a few years. Couldn’t do this without Ark7.
