Feeling the Burn!

I have been a BeachBody user for ~2 years but felt like I was plateauing in my exercise journey. I followed Cara Loren on IG and decided to give her app a try. The first few workouts I did, I legitimately thought she was crazy for creating such intense workouts. My body wasn’t used to not only working so hard, but pushing myself to the next level. I am almost finished with week 5 and can confidently say I have never felt stronger and as much of a bad**s in my life. When you’ve reached your peak, the app levels you up in weight and reps to keep you from plateauing. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the app itself has some tech bugs to work out, but I’m along for the ride and can’t wait to see where this app progresses!

Love this app!

I have been using this app for almost a year now, and I love it! The progress tracker makes it so easy to know that you’re progressing in your workouts, and I appreciated that the workouts are the same each week because it helps to focus on those specific muscle groups. This app has also helped me to feel more comfortable using the equipment at the gym. I do wish there were some features for alternative exercises within a workout in case you didn’t have access to a certain piece of equipment at the gym though. All around, it’s a great app and it helps me to not have to think too much about what I am going to do when I work out!

We love to hear that you've become more confident at the gym and we've taken the guess work out of your daily workouts. We did make a note about the alternative exercises to our development team to implement in future versions of the app.

There’s better out there

This app needs a lot of tweaking and they should have done more market research and feedback because it’s pretty simple concepts that the app is missing. There is no overview of the entire workout before you starting or at any point. You have to swipe through each move to see what is next. I don’t know how something like that would be missed? Also, when I signed up, I thought I was signing up for one month and that it automatically subscribed me for a monthly membership. I didn’t even use the app and after seeing the second charge, I went to cancel the subscription and there’s no option to do that in the app. The whole thing feels really scammy and is disappointing. There are far better apps out there so don’t waste your money.

Let them work out the kinks before buying

I have tried twice now to get a free trial to see if it is worth purchasing. The first time was when the app first launched and the app would continuously shut down unexpectedly. I gave up and thought I would try again. Yet again, the app doesn’t have sound for the intro video of Cara & then when I press “start program” it crashes. Over and over again. I reached out to their customer service via email and Instagram. I have yet to receive any response over email and now no one is getting back to me on Instagram. It’s been a week. I have no idea if the app is worth it once it works but I’ve given up trying. Not worth it until they work out their customer service and their technical difficulties.

Good workout but glitchy app and improvement needed.

The app is super glitchy. Lately I have to restart the app 3-5 times during a workout. Often having to skip forward to where I was which is a huge pain to do. Especially when it’s taking unnecessary time away when I’m in the middle of my workout. If I notate all the reps and weights used it’s even more glitchy so I don’t even bother doing that.

There also needs to be the ability to mark a workout complete without going through it all because sometimes the app doesn’t record that I finished the workout.

Once you start a workout there’s no way to know how long it will take or when you’ll be done. The smaller circuits are easier to guess how long they’ll take but rep or amrap days are so confusing. It would be nice to have a estimate on how long the workout might take or an overview of the workout before starting.

Also, a small weird thing but when I’m playing music from my phone it always cuts it off when I open the app. So, I have to go back and start my music again which is annoying.

I like the workouts offered but the app itself is frustrating to use.

Glitch

I keep getting clutches with your app. I love the work out but find myself frustrated trying to get going with my work out and stalled with glitches???

Like the concept but needs more options to personalize

I am a bigger girl trying to lose weight and get healthy. One day 2 of a program, I dont REALLY want to be doing forward rolling burpees - honestly I hate burpees so I dont want to do them at all. But thats just too much too soon. What about some modifications. I have alot of pain/old injuries so I may not be able to do certain exercises and need an option. I had to pause - go to google to see what to do instead of a forward rolling burpee. I like that I dont have to watch video and can just go at my pace. But need more of variety of exercises and what to do if your too fat or out if shape to complete what is displayed

We have been focusing on more modifications within the app for those who maybe cannot perform that specific exercise based on their own reasons. Needs improvements

Workouts are good but there is no where to see how many workouts you have completed. Once you do one week it’s just marked them all completed. If she wants us to repeat them for 12 weeks it should let us know what week we are on like say week2/day1 and so on. Also app has issues, keeps logging me out in the middle of my workout then makes me start from the beginning and my after pictures just show up bright white. Frustrating when paying monthly for this.

But really should have an area where you can track all of your workouts you have done, a calendar or something for tracking.

Muscles I Haven’t Worked in Years

I was a little skeptical of this app just because I wasn’t sure what to expect. I have followed Cara for years and saw how fit she was and so I thought I’d give it a shot. I had already been working out for a couple of years with a different program and was getting bored with the workouts. The first day with Burn App I was so sore - I worked muscles I haven’t used at all with my other program. After one week I can already feel and tell a difference in my body. Excited to see what 8 weeks does!

More things I love than don’t!

I have tried a lot of workout apps/platforms recently in the search for one that I really liked and felt like I could get good results with. This has been perfect for me so far!

What I love MOST is that the workouts are done with minimal equipment—dumbbells, a bench, and bands. I don’t even have an actual bench yet, but have been making it work with a sturdy bucket in my husband’s shop 😂 I’m a stay at home momma, so I workout at home either early in the morning or during naps, which is why I love the design of the program!

The workouts take me 45 minutes-an hour, and I personally like that there is no sound on the app 🤷‍♀️ I don’t like the pressure of “keeping up” with a coach or whatever. I can move at my own pace, but I am still getting a gooood sweat and calorie burn!

Also compared to other fitness apps I’ve tried, this one is really user friendly!!

I have seen complaints about paying for “only 12 workouts”, but I like this aspect too. The more times I do something, the better I get at it—my form, how heavy I can lift, how many reps I can complete.

I do agree that I would like to be able to set my day 1, 2, 3 a little differently to accommodate for the days I rest, but it’s not such a big deal if I just remember what workout I last did since they’re labeled “Day 1”, “Day 2”… I know the app is newer, so I’m sure there will be updates and more things added in the future.

All in all, I’m happy with it so far! 🤗
