  • Great Platform.. but can be frustrating!

    Overall, it’s pretty good platform!
It offers dining experiences for those who have money, but not the necessary connections. And, it offers some extra cash for those who have those connections, but don’t have the money to got out for those dining experiences.
I very much appreciate the app … unless there’s an issue that requires support to step in. They are nowhere to be found! I’ve been attempting to contact support via the app and email about a payout issue, and they never get back. So, just be mindful that, it will probably be a headache trying to get the funds owed to you in a timely manner. And, it’ll only get harder AFTER they’ve collected their big chunk of your money.
Also, I want to mention this for sellers. Funds aren’t available until 48 hours after the reservation sold. That’s fair, but you have these options for payout methods:
    § To Another AT User
    § US ACH Bank Account
    § (Same Day) Zelle [Beta]
§ (Next Day) PayPal Account [Beta]

Just keep in mind that, there will be fees for each payout method, except for sending it to another AT user. Zelle is the most expensive option ($15+2.5%), but it won’t come the same day. Zelle takes minutes, but it took days coming from this app. PayPal takes 5 days, not 1.
    Just a heads up!

  • Def recommend!

I’ve had this app for eight months now and it’s saved me so many times! Whether it be making a reservation for friends, visiting family, or for my girlfriend and I, the app has always come through. Download now and thank yourself for doing so!
  • Scam app

They took money 3 times for the same reservation from me and despite not even being able to fill my booking, they have not refunded me. Their support just ignores all my messages. Do not use!
  • Pretty convenient

It's a decent marketplace for in demand reservations. In NYC it's clutch but in other cities like Boston, selection can be sparse. Really depends on the city/demand for reservations. I don't like that this concept fosters the idea of botting for reservations but that's just how things are now I guess.

  • Potentially a great platform

This is a really interesting concept and a great way for people to obtain reservations that are becoming increasingly competitive.

There are still a few things that could be improved, particularly the interface, the ease of use and the ability to contact people for help within the app but it’s still a significantly useful app with a high level of use.

  • Great Platform

AT is a legit marketplace for hard to get reservations at impossible to get into restaurants. It works for both buying and selling and it works well without issue. If you don't mind spending to get into a place you really want to go then I recommend AT.
  • Horrible UX, no support, but it worked

This website and app feel like they were created in the 90s. The UX is just so so bad. Most of the links seem to just redirect to the main listing page, and even without that the site is just opaque and badly designed. This coming from an internet native who can usually make sense of any site in a short time. I found using this site very frustrating.

Everything on the site is market place based, so there’s no real guarantee that you’ll get something useful for your money. You can’t really take any actions, just put bids out for other people to maybe take actions or maybe nothing happens. This applies to the “customer support” as well, which seemed to be a black hole.

That said, it did work in the end for what I wanted. I ended up canceling my bid for a reservation and when I got a notification for an instant buy option. I ended up having to personally text message the person listed on the resy reservation and ask them to contact the restaurant to transfer it to my name. Otherwise what’s to stop the person from just showing up?

So I’m giving this a 2 because it worked, but I would not recommend it to anyone unless they were truly desperate.

  • Cool idea, bit buggy

I’ll preface by saying that Appointment Trader is my preferred platform for selling, but there is a huge learning curve. The documentation for anything is difficult to find. There are many rules and limitations that one isn’t aware of until they’ve already broken them and are being punished. The staff is very responsive and generally helpful which is a big plus. If you’re getting into this yourself though thoroughly read through everything. The site is a bit messy and buggy but do your best to learn all that you can before you start selling. Right now I have $1000 locked up because I wasn’t aware of the limitations on withdrawing, and that might get locked up even further because I didn’t know they penalize you for removing listings that don’t sell

  • Huge Fan

Between restaurants giving hot reservations to VIPs and bots AT really levels the field and allows anyone to get a reservation. I love the community as well. And the way the marketplace functions is very fair!
  • Overall good experience

Super helpful app. Only annoying thing if that you can’t get a full refund for non-utilized deposits on the app nor use the same deposit towards multiple bids for the same time simultaneously
