  • WiFi resets the clock

Every time i connect the WiFi it moves the clock back twelve hours on the device. Means I can't use the WiFi to aim the camera without ruining the timestamps
  • Functional but slow with room for improvements

If you are familiar with the concept then this will be an easy setup for you. But even if you are not, you can follow the instructions, they are good enough if you have technical background, otherwise, i think it would be a little challenging. i am able to access the camera via WiFi from about 90 feet, it is fast when you are close to the camera but starts to slow down as you get further. It is slow at 90, but workable if you reduce your video resolution. I am recording videos at 1080p, which i think is reasonable. And i setup my still shots at 8mp resolution. I have a green belt behind my house, and i setup the camera right next to a water bucket and i am getting great videos and shots of wild life. I also set it up next to my birdbath, and that was a lot of fun seeing the birds up close. I am accessing the camera footage entirely thru WiFi.

It would be nice if it had alert function, sort of like a door cam, but you can put those driveway alert bells and you will get the alert at the house

It would also be nice if i can access the camera over the internet (again like a door cam)

But you have to consider that this camera is made to be a placed in remote areas where there is no wifi. For that consider getting a camera with built in GSM slot to access via the cellular network. Even with that, you still gonna run into non service areas

All in all, it is worth the money to me.

  • Pathetic

Like others have said, great concept but the creators quit before the job was done. You will be removing your SD card to view your pics and videos. This app is worthless as is. Very frustrating and a waste of time.
  • App needs work

The picture selection process waits until every thumbnail downloads to your local display - it's horrible. It is impossible to click on a single picture so you need to select all and unselect the one you want to keep. Why there isn't a download button on the currently viewed picture or video is a mystery. They obviously barely got this working and then quit, so gentlemen please return to this app and finish it.

  • Good Picture Quality, Terrible Wifi

Just set up my trail camera. The 4K image quality at night is great, really pleased with it. The wifi is another story. You have to turn off mobile data on your phone and go through a bit of a process to connect to the camera. You have to do this every time you want to connect, not just the first time. Once you are connected you can change the settings which is very handy BUT there is no hope of downloading the videos saved to the memory card, the camera wifi is not capable of that. I tried downloaded one three minute video and gave up as it just kept buffering. I couldn’t even get the camera to delete the files stored on its SD card, it just buffered. Trying to playback the video from the device onto my phone screen was also mission impossible. It would play a 2-3second segment and then buffer for ages before playing another 2-3seconds…….All in all great picture quality but the wifi is not worth the extra you pay as it doesn’t really work…

  • I’m actually quite pleased with this app

I have a game camera and I use it for security at the camp. I have used the app for a year now , and I have to say that I don’t have the same complaints as many others. I can connect to my camera easily, I can download many pictures at once and I get very good photo quality overall. Yes, it could be better, but for a basic, simple camera and associated app, it works well for me. PK

  • Good camera, bad app

Drops the connection a lot, not all settings can be changed from the app. The biggest flaw is how difficult and time consuming it is to download photos. It’s a multi step process where you have to download from the camera to the app, then from the app to the iPhone camera roll, and you can only do 1 photo at a time.

  • Janky, slow, freezes

The concept is good, but the quality is terrible. The app freezes while downloading data, you have to force-quit and try again, etc. Which is a shame because if not for that I’d be able to do everything with this camera without even going outside. As it is I just pull the data card out and bring it inside when I want to download videos off it.

  • Not 100% sold yet

Working on setting up and the book’s wording has been roughly translated into English which makes it a little hard to follow. I wanted the camera more for surveillance and my distance is possibly too far. The camera takes a decent picture ( so far I have only used it at night.)
I don’t seem to be able to connect my phone to it unless I’m right next to the camera which is disappointing.
Downloading the pics surprised me how long it took.

  • Many issues

I like what it does, but:
    1. Download rate is slow.
    2. Once you’ve moved the files to local you have to save them to your phone one at a time. Very inefficient.
    3. WiFi settings only allow up to 3 min which makes downloading several pictures annoying as you have to keep reconnecting to the WiFi.
    4. Some one needs to proofread all the English, so many errors.
    5. I’ve renamed the WiFi twice and it keeps reverting back to the default.
